Huddles instead of Flip Although, guaranteed SOMEONE will be injured. They will probably both play.

Technically it's already broken up, and right now the best line on our team is Hudler-Calder-Lang. This is a lot of if's anyway, depending on WHEN Bert comes back and WHEN Z comes back and how well everyone gels, so it's hard to choose lines based on info that doesn't really exist. It is nothing against Holmstrom. He's been really good, I think that a lot of players would benefit from playing on that line, but w/ Bert being a RW it's a natural fit, hopefully. Bert puts up some nice numbers. If he's at full capacity when he comes back I'd hate to throw him on the 3rd line. Man, our team is just TOO good. edit: BTW, I think it's stupid to never change up line combos, or to rely only one one set group of people playing together. If we get injured in the playoffs that would bite us in the behind...so breaking up good lines that we know work is not bad, we can always put them back if the new lines don't work.

Good picks also. A lot of people would pick Flip in the lineup. I don't think Flip's bad, really, at all...and next year I'll think he's a full time player, but honestly to pick between Flip and Huddles...I think Huds is the better player. Huds, for his size, has a lot of tenacity, and has picked up quite a few goals and assists, etc, while not benefiting from the top line like Flip has. I'd like to see their ice times. In any case, as of late, especially the Lang line with Calder and Huds has put up VERY timely goals when no one else has.

I thought about splitting up Z and Pavs too, but didn't change them in my lineup. I think they'd be powerful good centers controlling seperate lines. I didn't want to move Lang away from Huddles though, so I kept them together.

Agree fullheartedly with the last 3 posters on a number of points. 1. Whether or not Dats performs in the post season, he's young, talented, and sure as heck performs in the regular season. He does bring a lot of excitement to the game, and that's not to be discounted. 2. It would be stupid to get into a bidding war whether we do well or not in the playoffs, and if we do well in the playoffs, and Dats does well it could be a nightmare. 3. I'm sick of everything being played on Pavs. He's not a one man team.

I was not excited about Kyle Calder. I wasn't mad at Holland, but I thought it was kind of a *yawn* trade. But he's proven me wrong, and that's a good thing!

Fedorov is injured, I doubt we will sign him anyway If Pavs DOES come up big in the playoffs we will have to pay him a lot more, so let's get it done as soon as possible.

Well, I didn't want to come in last night, because I didn't want to jinx the game. Wow, it was a good one, hopefully success like THAT tonight. I loved how at the end we got all of those goals. What a sweet ending. And Huddles! Man, that kid is so good, I'm telling you, he's one of my favorites right now. Lebda is still playing really well, imo, and that Flip goal was really cool, I loved it! Oh, loved to see Malts get one, too. I really, really hate that weird trapazoid rule. We are being plagued with it...first Dom now Oz. UGH. That's a dumb rule. And penalties..I thought we were never going to get off the penalty kill. Right before they got the 2nd goal I quipped, that the refs should just GIVE the preds a goal and get on with it. I'm not saying we didn't deserve any of them, it was just annoying. But can I say enough about Ozzie? No. He was so good last night. I definitely think he's been hampered by injuries after watching him last night. He's been good lately, but he definitely elevated his game last night and looked more Ozzie-esque. Seeing him after last night, I knew what I felt I was missing. I also so him make a couple of saves that reminded me of Hasek..ha ha, looks like he's picked up a couple new tricks.

He's been earning a contract. What night have we NOT been impressed with him? He's done well EVERY night...he deserves to be offered a contract if he keeps it up!

Well, Z, being pretty much the only one would could score last playoffs being out is quite bad. But things are different this year. Different players, different situations, and people are stepping up. We can't know how everyone will react in the playoffs, but I have faith that in Z's absense others will get the job done... And let's face it...Hasek might have lost a step, but I know enough about him to know he can drag the team a certain amount with him. So I think if nothing else we will get out of round one...even if Dom has to drag us there... By then, maybe we'll have Z back.

I would take Kozzie back...he is money in the playoffs!

I know some people don't look forward to the Predators, but I enjoy the games...so GO WINGS! I will probably miss the first period online, but may pop in the second, you never know... edit: Also, has anyone noticed (in MI) that is SMELLS like the playoffs today? I can't wait!

Huddles is great! I know he'll be the guy to get the boot, which I don't think is fair if he's playing better than some other players...I can think of a couple. For the playoffs I want in the people who are feisty and really want to prove themselves and score and win, so I hope he cracks the roster if possible. I definitely think as a regular he would shine.
