Oh wow, that's nothing I'll have to plot a way to commandeer the TV if we go to OT
-
I am glad we have tied it up Way to go us. I am getting tired, I don't know if I'll make it through the whole game. How much is left?
-
I am watching THE PRINCESS DIARIES *whines* which I've already seen. But this game sounds boring...I guess..
-
Not having the Red Wing game again (people keep taking over my TV) and I have to run in and out of my bedroom to see what's going on. Ah well. I will peruse here.

We need like a hockey themed Match.com. And no, it's not the GDT edit: WE as in the collective we...I am not looking

I think when you find someone who you are head over heels for...and is head over heels for you...and you both like hockey...that's the person you should marry And he'll be perfect and you can live happily ever after and buy season tickets. Think about it this way. It's much easier for you to find a nice guy who likes hockey, it's much harder for the guys to find a cool girl who likes hockey as much

Ha ha! She wants you to be sad for all of your life? Or are you known to be a girl of whimsey...this week it's hockey, next week it's bass fishing? Ha ha. If you are totally dedicated to hockey then by all means, you will be unhappy with your husband who wants to watch either Trading Spaces or the Pistons game instead. Ha ha. I was proposed to at the Joe. Not with tickets...but yeah that was before I would have ever thought of that. I could do everything but the first born ... So no tickets for me! Ha ha, if I wanted to buy 2 rounds of tickets I could have. I could afford a game, but not 8 ha ha!!

We are good luck The curse is broken! Do, definitely, marry a Red Wing fan. I would have never settled for anyone less than a crazy Red Wing fanatic, myself! Also, I married a Red Wing fan who just happened to be on the season ticket waiting list...so here we are. I've had them for 2 years now. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Not to say it isn't GREAT...because it is AWESOME...but it's so expensive. I had to sell off most of my tickets this year because we had a financial crisis, but next year we'll probably go to a little less than half of the games or so. As we did last year. So $55 a ticket...two tickets, plus parking, refreshments, souvinirs...etc. I never do get sick of looking at souvinirs and coveting them after all this time! Plus the Red Wings give NO perks...which is crap. I get that we are a good team, but a price break in any way, shape, or form would be nice...or any kind of fan perk. They have one skate at the Joe...that's it...not even an open practice, or a meet and greet or anything. Also, even if you CAN afford the tickets...you can't afford the playoffs. Oh no way. You have to buy them 2 rounds at a time, 4 games a round. You can't pick and choose, and basically, they cost double the regular season costs and up, which means you end up spending double the regular season cost of tickets (41 games) for just 16 games...which by the way...they probably won't play. So you will eventually get your money back in the summer when they get around to it...or you can apply it to next years tickets. I know, I know. I sound whiney...but the fact of the matter is they don't treat season ticket holders that well, and they are way overpriced, which is why they are almost entirely corporate owned. They need to get their act together and hopefully some real fans could get some tickets. Believe me...having season tickets was always a dream of mine!

Ooh, Reverse it and you got it. I can never forgive Holland for lying and saying that he wouldn't give up Ozzie after the playoffs when we lost. Don't say it if you don't mean it. But I guess it all worked out right, Ozzie's back now, and looking back it can be forgiven, now that I can understand sort of what was behind it. I will always love Holland for matching the offer to Carolina and retaining Sergei Fedorov. I've not often been so pleased with a hockey decisions in my life! It kept Sergei here for a few more years at least. But again...it ended in the same result.

Great pictures, I wish I could take ones like that!

There's one thing that Kenny H. did that ensured that I love him forever. And there's one thing that Kenny H. did that ensured that I would never forgive him. Oh, and he signed Bert and Calder. Thus goes the scale on the side of good!
-
Let them eat cake. BTW when I'm dead no one gets new graphics.
-
Good job, HC. Way to keep those Ozzie chants going!
-
Hope he gets better. That's what you GET for scoring on us twice though J/k J/k!

Sergei's definitely and consistantly been the best and nicest Red Wing that I've met...I think it's been about 4 or 5 times or so. The first time I met him, I was pretty young (maybe about 15 or so?) and it was before we won any of the Cups. He was my favorite player EVER so I was really, really, really nervous. But then I had one of those little disposable cameras and it broke, and I was so mad. So, by the time I got to him I was mad at my camera. He was so nice though. I had drawn a picture of him to sign (I'm me, I like to be artistic). He said it was 'Super' and showed everyone, and was really nice and chatty. The second time, I was determined to get a picture with him. (Nice new working camera and all) so I waited and it took a lot of courage but I asked him, and he was going to say, sure...but all of his people (actually people that worked at the place, I think) yelled at me, and told me that no, and had to explain all this crap. Seriously, it took they WAY longer to explain than to get a picture. By that point, I'm on the verge of tears...mostly because it took a lot of courage for me to ask, and partly because they were being kind of mean. Sergei felt really bad, you could tell, so he leans over and says that if I wait after the thing he'll come get a picture with me. And I waited and he did. He was so, so very nice, and thoughtful. The other time of actual note was much more recent. We went to Columbus for a game. It was really, really close th when Sergei was traded, and naturally I already had a Fedorov Columbus jersey. No one else really did yet, because I got it the day after he was traded. Everyone in Columbus wanted to know where I got it because you couldn't get them there yet (I got it online of course!) so Sergei was all thrilled that I had his jersey...he was all "Cool jersey" ha ha. It was dorky, but in a nice, Sergei way...you know. So, I thanked him, and he was all "Where do you want me to sign it" me; ummmm. Him: "I'll sign it on the letters" at that point I had to ponder where he was GOING to sign it because it was a dark jersey...I had just thought he meant WHICH letter...ha ha. Brandon told him we were from Detroit (I was afraid to...would he hate us? Or spit on us?) Irrational fears. He totally lit up and was all 'Really?' and about how he loved it there and stuff, and he was totally thrilled that we'd go to see him. We told him it was too far to visit him in Anaheim, and he agreed with a big grin...ha ha. Oh man, I do miss Sergei!

Lots of love going out to Z...he is being missed in the lineup!
