Alright. I'm going to go eat and WATCH the game...it'll probably be better there anyway! GO WINGS! Viperar has ensured a win!
-
An oldie, but a goodie!
-
Oooh, that makes me mad. Ozzie should flip him.
-
Good, we are safe now.
-
You say that...like there's just one thing
-
No, no, no. Far be it for me to impede the Wing's success: Now use it, or you will cause the Wings to lose!
-
Oh really? If I build it they will come...or soemthing like that ? Well, I should get right on that then! Although, how am I going to stay updated and bring level-headed conversations here while doing that! Thanks for the updates!! For us with no feed at all
-
OMG, I get here and bad stuff happens *WHINE* I just got home...and not tv right now all I have is this until I go out to eat. Edicus...I like your sig!

Aw, that's really nice. Once I was watching the Isles down in Columbus and DiPietro threw me a puck. Because he looked at me and pointed I kew it was for me. A kid got it though...which was cool. So he threw me another one. Stupid kid stole that one too. I didn't really like that kid too much. That's the only time anyone's ever thrown me a puck. But I'm not going to wrestle it from a kid

I won't make a prediction...I'll just say Go Wings! I think it'll be an exciting game in spite of the fact that even more of our team is missing than the LAST game. However, I expect to see Calder's still being Mr. Awesome, and I'd like to see some of our youngins show some enthusiasm and get some points by sheer work! Oh, I would also like to see the Wings actually play for 60 minutes and beyond if they have to. Win, fine. Lose, fine. Just play an honest 60 minutes.

I don't really care as long as they are healthy for the playoffs...or at least the majority are healthy...or at least they are mostly healthy...or whatever. Whatever other factors go into winning a Cup, I don't think we've ever won with a lot of serious injuries. As far as resting the players go...if that's the plan, well cool. It's early enough that they can all be rolling for April!
-
I choose to root of the Isles over the Rangers, anyday!

Sid Abel's daughter / Brent Johnson's mom planned our wedding. She was really nice. Ozzie was playing on the Blues with Johnson at the time, and she was tickled to death that we not only knew who Johnson was but had met him and got a picture with him. She kept the picture of us in her office.
-
Good riddance. Shoulda been gone a long time ago. If it lingers I'm just tempted to look at it...and post more stuff. It sucks me in!
-
He's so nice! I was hoping we'd get him awhile back.

I've met a big percentage of the players past and present at signings and such, and 2 at my job and I saw Oz at the mall (I always think it's cooler to see them outside of a signing) Some of these include: Fedorov, Osgood, Legace, Whitney, Bertuzzi, Ciccarelli, Primeau, Johnson, Maltby, Draper, Lang, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Brown, Dandenault, Avery, Hodson, Cheveldae, Shanahan, Konstantinov, Larionov, Fetisov, Kozlov, Datsyuk, Holmstrom, Kopecky, Fischer, Vernon, Murphy, Devereaux, Rouse, Maracle, Ward, Knuble, Erikson etc. Non Wings: Mogilney, V. Bure, Belfour, Theodore, Fuhr, Tretiak, B. Johnson, R. Nash, Roenick, Khabibulin, Parrish, Yashin, Hextall etc. That's all I can think right now. Some of the nicest: Fedorov is EXTREMELY nice, everytime. Osgood, Ciccarelli, Whitney, Parrish, Mogilney, Fuhr, Larionov, Bertuzzi, and Legace were all very nice and personable. B. Johnson was hilarious :-D Oh lol..I fogot about Ryan Kesler...ha ha.
-
Ray Whitney came into my work with his daughter. It was really cute, and he was really nice. I saw Ozzie at the mall, but didn't want to go talk to him, I gave him a smile and that was it. Also, Doug Brown came into my work, and was also very nice. PS. I work in Birmingham too :-P

I never hated TB for the hit. I wasn't one of the people with pitchforks and torches. However, even if I had been, it's sort of how the game goes. I can say I hated the idea of Chelios on the team...love him now. You live, you learn, you realize that there's two sides to every story, everyone has some good in them, and it's a lot easier to love a gritty guy, when he's YOUR gritty guy. It's how it goes.

The only way Bertuzzi can make up for what he did is by continuing to play. He's done everything in his power, and that he's been asked to do to atone...short of breaking his own neck, which would accomplish nothing. The only thing he can do now is soldier on and not do it again. ::I'd take 1 person who actually had to pay for their sin, than 10 who've just NEVER been caught
-
How do you know he hasn't re-evaluated it. It's a perfect argument. Everyone's done something wrong, on purpose, that they regret. Thank God above that it's not resulted in breaking a guys neck though - for you - but you never do know the future. Bertuzzi will remember, and regret, and pay for his whole life. It's so easy to stand around all self-righteously and say that you'd never be able to get on when it's not happened to you, because it could. You never do know, and until it does happen you won't know how you'll handle it. But by all means, if you think you'll never do anything like that...go ahead and throw stones.

Why do you care so much. Why do you care SO MUCH that you have to prove someone wrong. Someone who's worst flaw is trying to be uplifting about the Red Wings, and did nothing to denegrade Hasek. What do you get out of this, because the cost of being such a know it all, is being very negative and not supportive, and down on the team. What is the payoff, because that is the cost. If people are so ignorant, as you say, why do you care? When it comes down to it. No matter what stat you have, no matter what has happened in the past it does not indicate the future. Hasek has been healthy thus far and so we think he will continue to be so. Osgood has't played many games and so we think he might not win a Cup this year. Anything can happen though. The past can hint at the future but will not determine it. So to say we will win with Hasek, or lose with Ozzie, or even live another day to post, is immaterial, and basically conjecture. The only thing a post about stats does is boost morale and give everyone hope and a fact to feel positive if Hasek is out for longer than a couple games. So disproving that Osgood = Hasek or whatever is a pointless way to be a big downer. There's not a point. To even try to bring up this argument is actually missing the whole point of the original post. You guys think you are so smart, but you don't even realize that the point of the post was to spread some good postive energy and cheer, and rah team! But apparently you missed that, so since you can't even grasp that basic concept why should we think your logic isn't faulty as well? It wasn't JUST directed at you. I'm sorry, I admit I got rather heated, well, not at first, but by now. I am just so sick of people having to prove over and over again that Hasek is better than Osgood. Why does this need to be proved so very often over and over again, when it's so ... plain. Me thinks thou doest protest too much.
-
Puckloo, I'm seriously only going to say this once, because I don't think you are getting it when I've not replied the last couple of times. I'm not really talking to you, meaning that wasn't directed at you.
-
I guess then we should throw out stats altogether then. Then what will we base it on then. A contest, like american idol where the fans vote? That really works via allstar game...or shall we just go by wins, or cup wins...hmm...that's looking even more skewed than the original numbers. I guess we should just go based on your opinion. The point is that no one said Osgood IS Hasek... Someone said Ozzie will be capable to step in if need be, which apparently is BLASPHEMY...which leaves every Osgood supporter to bow their head, wring their hands and say, "oh no, no no, we didn't mean that OF COURSE Hasek is God...we would never suggest that Hasek is fallable, or replaceable, or that Osgood is even half as good as him." Hell no. I'm sick of that. Hasek is not God, and not the only one capable of winning a Cup with Detroit. And I'm not saying Osgood is that person, but honestly...we don't know that Hasek is that person either. We'll have to wait until June to know that. Or earlier if the contrary is true.
-
If Bertuzzi stops playing, how will he pay the money that he owes Moore. It's just stupid to think...oh he should stop playing. Because it won't help Moore if he stops. And someone DID have real interest in Bertuzzi, a really good team, The Detroit Red Wings...so who really cares about those other teams?
-
Because, Majsheppard, you should know that the 1st rule of DRW hockey is DO NOT BE POSITIVE. Especially if it involves Chris Osgood. We wouldn't want fans to be 'mislead' into having actual 'faith' or confidence in him or the team. It's all about knocking one another down.
