It was really good. I thought the blood was done artistically just like the rest of the movie I know what you mean though. I actually thought it was too gory and it wasn't necessary to be so...and definitely more reminiscent of the old school Tim Burton films. I liked the scene 'By the Sea' though it was more like Big Fish or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I love Johnny Depp in that scene...hilarious without saying a word. Spoiler:

All that good stuff happening to Ozzie the last couple games when to his head and he had to be brought down to earth! He'll be back next game.

Am I the only person who thinks this is sort of dumb? Do people never learn their lesson? Does AO have any motivation to ever really play hard again? Mind you I didn't read all the terms of the contract or the rest of this thread.

^ Huds eats a lot. I didn't know Leclaire was 2nd in votes. UGH. SO UNFAIR. Ozzie deserves it and Leclaire deserves it...Nabby deserves it since Luongo is out. But Manny doesnt....and I love Manny. So unfair for Leclaire, I thought he was a lock and might get Ozzie snubbed (undeservedly) because he plays for the Wings.

I'm saying that all i hear is that Ozzie is ONLY good because he's a Wing. Only won a Cup because he was on a great team. Well how many goalies have won Cups without teams to back it up. Not a whole lot...and not Hasek. I'm using the reverse logic you might be expecting. I'm not saying Hasek is bad because he won a Cup with the Wings...I'm saying Ozzie isn't BAD just because he has played for a good team.

I'm really irked about the Leclaire thing. I really was thinking it would be Luongo Ozzie and Leclaire when Lu was still in. Just shows how close Ozzie might have been to being snubbed.

Haha, that was a joke! If Ozzie is starter, they should just change the West jersies to Red Wing jersies.

Question. If Ozzie only wins because of the Wings...(btw he tied the Islanders record for wins with Billy Smith while on the Islanders) ... and Hasek has been so great... Um...How come he had to come here to win a Cup? But apparently we could throw anyone in net this year...which imho is more proof of Dom's recent success than of Osgood's who's been consistantly great. If we have to rely on one goaltender in the playoffs, I think Osgood is the more reliable right now. I felt Dom made mistakes that helped cause us the Cup last year. We have him to steal games...he didn't when we needed him to. 4 goals per loss is not a close loss...and yes I know we had D problems. If Dom can't do THAT (which I thought was the appeal of him)...if he's not stealing those games then everything's equal. Ozzie's been better, put Ozzie in. If Ozzie starts sucking or something, yeah it's a different ballgame, but I don't see that happening.

If it was the beginning of the year I'd have said Z, but it seems to have shifted more to Pavs in the offense category. In defense Osgood and Lidstrom have been top notch. So yeah, my vote is exactly what everyone else has been saying...and that is why we have 4 all-stars (when Ozzie is picked)

Gotta love Ozzie. And I disagree with others. I have the guts to say that Ozzie is one of the best of all time. I'm not saying THE best I'm not saying he's in the top 10. But in the history of goaltending he's in the upper echelon. He's not flashy, and he's not insane, but quietly he's accomplished a lot and continues to roll. Critisze me all you want, I've always known he's under-rated. Being #1 in the league and still considered a backup is pretty much proof that he's just simply over-looked and doesn't really get the respect he deserves. I've always known this, never thought it would be proved. He's not top 10 of all time or anything like that, but he deserves a whole HELL of a lot more respect than he's gotten. He's thrived and done well in the best hockey league in the world, and I don't think he's finished. For whatever reason there's always been blatent bias against him. I'm still not 100% sure why.

If he earned it..I'd welcome him back. I have never been big on McCarty. I know he's a beloved Wing, but never been one of my personal favorites. Still, I like a good comeback, and the Wings have always been a family team, and he's a part of the family. Hopefully he can do it. It's a longshot, but it would be nice, heartwarming even.
