Erm, what stats are you looking for, I might be able to help you out to a certain extent. Are you looking league wide or just the Wings. I haven't really don't that for a while, but I could see what I could dig up if needed. Like I know I have the wins leaders. The current players change stats often so it's hard...anyway.. I like this If my calculations last night were correct and depending on what other goalies did, if they did anything drastic....Ozzie should be #1 in GAA, and #4 in wins and SV %....I know he'd be #1 in wins if he played a bit more...just fighting it out with Gerber. Way to go Ozzie

I'm not giving up on Howard, or really saying anything about him...but I've never really thought that Howard would be a #1 in Detroit.

I'll work on it but I don't think he necessarily deserves to be the starter.... I would like to see whatever coach gets in (isn't it the one with the best record) to appoint him. I worry if it's Babs he won't pick him.

No one will do anything. Red Wing fans are generally pretty well behaved. They'd not say anything to a kid, at least.

I know...everytime I see your sig I am reminded. I sort of assumed all of this thinking he'd be on the second line...not all weirdly demoted for no reason. He's still done well though. I hope Babs figures it all out and gets him to play more. ERM, he also scored 2 shootout goals. I never said WHEN he had to score these 30 goals

This isn't me being biased...I wish Ozzie was more well liked. HEY! HE IS RIGHT NOW...I'm thrilled...but it won't last. Our 'backup' is always well liked, which Ozzie is supposedly perceived as. Manny was too, until he was starter and then when we didn't win the Cup he was ripped into little pieces. I know I'm not crazy on this one. Ozzie is one of the most bashed players, he's just not been playing enough to get it. The Ozzie lovefest has indeed grown as of late, but I can certainly remember when Ozzie supporters were few and far between and out and out bashing was prevailent. I do hope the Ozzie lovefest lasts though. edit: I wanted to say to when you said that there is no thread bashing Osgood, I was going to say, EVERY thread can be a thread bashing Osgood..haha. Although, that seems particularly true of Dom right now.

I know it's not always down to Feds and Oz, but it feels like it is. I'm always very nervous! If there's a pattern though, Feds will score next time...haha.

I loved the game...thought it was exciting. I thought it was the best game of the year so far. When Ozzie is in net, Columbus always goes to the shootout, and Sergei is always head to head with him and it drives me crazy..haha. Oh, I wanted to mention, I was very happy that Franzen scored in the shootout because I was feeling like he needed a goal and didn't get one. So I was happy about that. Huddles needs more play. How's he gonna get his 30 goals? Erm..40 shots. It's been a lot of days since we've seen 40 shots on one of our goalies. Ah...the good old days...sorta. I dunno, it was just exciting to me...sometimes I just hate that Rick Nash..grr...*hates* haha. He can be too good.

Totally wrong. The only reason Ozzie hasn't been bashed lately is that he's been really really good...and before that he wasn't playing bad enough to be bashed. Ozzie is definitely in the top 5 all-time bashed players of all time (haha, I have no stats to support this). I'm not just talking about critisism...just out and out hatred. He's supposed 'backup' right now and so he's golden, but he's never gotten the respect he deserves. Dom is one of the worst goalies in the league right now...that's what it takes to get these threads. Everyone's got their panties in a bunch because Dom used to be sort of the golden boy who could do no wrong. Everyone salivated over getting him for years, he came in...won a cup in his first year and he was a god. Now no one can handle if he gets a little critisism. I will admit..he's getting really bad treatment right now, but he is one of the worst goalies in the league right now too. If he is our backup, he'll be treated well there until he gets better...if he does. This is Detroit...hello..goalies aren't treated well here...Dom always has been. If he's not right now...well that's too bad....I would feel alot worse if he'd been treated anywhere to the level of Ozzie or Manny or Cujo. No other goalie in recent history has been treate quite so god-like as Hasek. Unfortunately memories are short lived. The goalie bashing here goes to extreme levels, but do not get that wrong, Ozzie is by far the most bashed goalie of..probably Red Wing history. Which is sad, he doesn't deserve it.

Well, I don't think there is a goalie that can make up for all glaring holes..or more goalies on sucky teams would win Cups...like Luongo We should just fill a couple holes and not worry about a goalie, becaue we're not getting Luongo. But anyhoo. My main thing against Bryz is his inexperience. I've seen many flash in the pan goalies have good runs in times of need. I'm not saying he is...I'm just not certain he isn't. Also, he might eventually come to win a cup in a few years...but to come in next year and do it...nah. You and I both know that! The sad thing about the playoffs is that it relies just as much on luck and boucnes and injuries as it does in skill and longevity and leadership...so the perfect team can still lose. A worse team can get hot and make it far. It's just weird. With all my watching I've never been able to predict (with acuracy) the teams that will crumble or the ones that will succeed. Sure, occasionally a seemingly destined team comes alone, but then again half the time you think that and they have injuries, or go cold...so yeah. I'm not going to put it all on the goalie.

Well, I for one, don't think we're a shoe in just because Ozzie's in net. We've been struggling against our own division, and actually I'm a bit worried. We did some damage on Leclaire last time, but he's a really good goalie. Anyway, I think it'll be a good game, I hope the outcome's good. I'm in no way in any panic mode, but I'd like to see a win, even a hard fought win...get something going offensively, and hope the d clicks....and if Ozzie's in I hope he's over his sickness.

This is true. If Dom played about 10 years here, say...he'd have 3 Cups and probably 0 Vezinas...because no goalie who plays in front of Detroit gets any credit.

Inujured I am all for supporting Dom, but he should be more in the backup role right now. When and if he gets his act together they can tandom it for the season, whoever's doing better in playoff time should start for the playoffs...be in Hasek or be in Ozzie. Ozzie and Hasek can both win Cups...and if we do lose in the playoffs it probably won't be either goalies fault. It'll probably be lack of scoring...like always. I know Bryzgalov is all nice and shiney but he's proven nothing. I doubt he'd come in and we'd just dominate the league. We have goaltending to win games, we need to address other issues. Only one team will win the Cup and odds are it won't be us...randomly picking any goalie in the league.

I've always said it too....we must not be meeting up in the right threads There's other differences too. Ozzie's more of an 'offensive' goalie. He is a good puckhandler, and keeps the play going...moves the puck a lot. That plus they are trusting him on D opens them up offensively.
