Feds would be good with Dats or with Flip I think...and he can pretty much play any position, including defense, so no problem placing him. Picture it...someone to play the point on the PP!!!!!

I'm pretty simple. I love Fedorov and Osgood, and I don't know how I love more. Usually whoever's closest in proximity at the time, right...ha ha. I always thought Fedorov had the edge over Ozzie until Ozzie got traded (that's what I say I know he wasn't traded) and I was completely devastated. I wasn't nearly as devasted when Sergei left, but maybe I was just numb about it by then. I like it right now with Feds on Columbus and Ozzie here where he belongs...though I won't be opposed to bringing Feds back. I could get into my 'tier system' of the players I like after those 2, but it would just get confusing...I can say my top 5 Red Wings now, though...other than Ozzie, and currently playing: Hudler Lang Bertuzzi Lebda Zettsyuk

See, from my perspective, I was happy the Wings did so well. I am very proud of them. The despair comes from knowing you will have to deal with all of the people who want to rip apart the entire team. Also, knowing certain players won't be back and some will have a big question mark over their heads pretty much bums me out. Some people are just more passionate and emotional than other people about hockey...or about anything in life. It's just a difference of personality..nothing more, nothing less.

I think all those people are injured to a certain degree...and probably a couple we don't know about have nagging injuries. For instance...Homer played, but never seemed the same since the hit...

No. I will change my avatar when my POTC one is done, and I don't feel 1 ounce bad for having some faith and believing in the team, or any players on it.

We could have won this year, so I don't see what you could do to *ensure* a win. Hire a hitman to take out other teams players? Learn voodoo? What? I dunno. There are no guarantees in life. Best chance at winning next year....do what you did this year.

I would re-sign most of the guys...(definitely Calder, and Bertuzzi if they take pay cuts) tweak the roster a bit, but it would depend on what options I had available. I wouldn't do much more than that in the off season. Then near the trade deadline I would try to get Sergei Fedorov if he's healthy. He's a clutch performer in the playoffs, proven, and he's awesome on D....everything we could need. He should retire here, as well.

Once upon a time there was a boy named Chris Osgood. He was the Red Wing's future. He got to play for a while, even won a couple of Cups and broke some records, but was eventually dealt to make room for Dominik Hasek. Which proved something from then on: Winning > The Future No matter who is touted as 'The Future' you don't ACTUALLY know if they will make the team for more than a year because the Wings could get a shot at, oh for fun, Roberto Luongo, and dump Howard in a hot minute. So, he is really only part of a hypothetical future. Our real future might be Dom/Ozzie, Ozzie/FA, and then a string of FA's And if we won the whole time no one would care about JH.

Everytime he plays up here he sucks. I think that's why they say that.

I think our closest rival is the Preds. I think I have a personal rivalry with Pronger, myself. Other than that, we would have a better rivalry with the Flames....Ducks were dirty, but we never got angry enough to get them back where it counted....

What's the point? Seriously. If Dom doesn't retire...keep Dom and Ozzie. If he does. I'm not sure. I guess then we could entertain making Ozzie #1 and bring up Howard as backup. I have faith that Ozzie would be fine, but if it's not broke - don't fix it, and Dom's been fine. Everyone always thinks when we lose it's the goalie...that's the joke of it. Jimmy Howard will be eaten alive here.

I hope he stays for an adjusted lower salary under the cap. He had a less than perfect season, but that doesn't mean he can't bounce back. I'd say based on Babcock's virtually unwaivering faith in him and Sammy that they are lifers and Calder and Hudles are doomed. But I'm optimistic and hope that we can keep them all. Also, I am not afraid to say that I don't want Thornton, St. Louis, and most of all not Crosby. Why? so they can just be our next BIG disappointment? No thank you. Our team is good enough the way it is.

Mine wasn't on the ice...I loved when we got Bertuzzi. I've not been so excited about an acquistion in FOREVER...hopefully he stays!

How do you think the Ducks will win. Also...don't you remember all the dirty things the Ducks did? Or is this something that I've made up in my mind?
