This game was such a fluke! I loved every second of it, dont get me wrong, but i dont think these 2 teams have had one fight since then. Unless im forgetting something...

My reaction to that fight reminded me of Cross/Ott last season. I was caught so off guard by it and in such total shock for a few seconds i couldnt register in my head who was fighting who. Im like oh s*** who the hell are these guys! #32 is that Brad May?!!!!

I gave him his props for a nice attempt in the other thread! He definitely didnt get 3 in....he threw the 2 right at the start with one of them maybe getting in. But with the way it went after that...it was all Moen.

They definitely played a good game tonight, no denying that. But, being able to match the Ducks physical intensity over a playoff series is entirely a different story...its just a matter of personnel. I dont wanna come in here as a downer cause it was a nice game....thats just my opinion though! However as for Lilja/Moen, that wasnt a slip...it was a "slip"... if you get my drift! He threw his couple shots and as soon as he got hit he had enough and went down....which he gets deducted for. Moen continued landing shots while Lilja just tried to grab his legs. Im being really impartial and not anti-Lilja, i think you'll basically find everybody giving Moen the win.

Kp Kp Kp....lets not get carried away with the Lilja love! If memory serves me correct, he only threw 2 punches didnt he? One looked to have grazed Moen...but after that it was all Moen with Lilja bailing while taking some rights. No way does he get the nod.

Agreed, Mike Goldberg was horrendous. I watch the UFC all the time so i still cant rid myself of the guy....although i'd say he's a little better with the UFC than hockey, but not by much. "SO YOU WANNA BE AN ULTIMATE FIGHTER?!!" Ugh... My dad was to cheap to pay for PASS, so i was stuck listening to it on the radio. To me, there is nothing worse than listening to a fight on the radio....it killed me to miss it. I remember after each fight i kept running out of my room telling my dad "Another fight dad!" "Another fight!!" "Theyre going at it again dad!" Of course being the smartass i am this was all said in a sarcastic tone to make my dad feel guilty for not giving his son PASS. Anyways...couldnt wait for Sportscenter that night, and if memory serves me correct it was their top story. Imagine that! So will people in Colorado celebrate the anniversary of Roy beating up Osgood next year?

Thats what i was thinking as well. Hitting is part of the game, thats an area Tootoo looks to excel at. Sorry, but theres nothing wrong with that. You dont like it, ban hitting.

I know you guys dont like to hear the age argument, but the Wings cant afford to be investing 3+ million in a guy Schneider's age who has issues defensively. With every year that passes, the likelihood of him making more and more big gaffes increases. Lets wait and see if the guy wears out in the playoffs too. The playoffs is the true test for guys like Chelios, Schneider, ...and even Lidstrom.

Actually no, Daigle wasnt the better player. First 4 NHL seasons of their career: Daigle 263gp, 156 pts (or .593pts per game) Lecavalier- 306gp, 183pts (or .598 pts per game) Vinny had 81 goals (or .264 per), while Daigle had 67 (or .254 per). Just sayin'....

Daigle and Cleary were (are) both busts....but Daigle is the obviously the bigger one.

Why would you take Lecavalier and St. Louis? First of all, theres no guarantee they even get in the playoffs! That would kinda put a damper on things wouldnt it? And even if the 'Ning do, you cant expect them to get out of the first with their s***ty goaltending. Maybe if they face Atl cause of their inexperience, but its a gamble. Take players on teams you think will advance far.

Didnt say i hate people who do that, just that its hard to have sympathy for anyone who sees a hit coming and then turns their back. EDIT: too trigger happy with the mouse button!

Its clean if a guy is going for a hit and the player turns his back at the last second,....i couldnt tell if Lebda seen him coming though. But Ville had moved in to check him before Lebda had turned.

I dont have much sympathy at all for guys who turn their backs to try and avoid being hit. From the replay, it looked that MAY have been the case...i'd have to see it again. However, it also looked like Ville had ample time to at least let up a little.

I say ban sticks. Make it a combination of soccer and figure skating....since thats the direction that Bettman wants. Poll i made here for anyone who'd like to vote on this
