Neither are Langfeld, Ellis, and most of all...Hussey. Thats been the only argument for those of us on Booter's side. Maybe he's not an NHL player, but at least he can have an impact physically.
-
I guess they ran out of useless scrubs to recall

BINGO BANGO! Bootland vs Tootoo is now lock of the year
-
Dombrowski is WAY too low...Billy Bean should be hell of alot higher as well. They are two of the 2 best imo.
-
Notice the word "hitter" in my post... Exactly. I think thats why people look at Calder and think of him as this physical winger, its cause of what he's being compared to.
-
Its trying its hardest, thats all i can ask lol. Unfortunately I think its about 300k short of working, i need to put this baby on steroids! Nope, its just black. Green would be a nice change of pace though...

I get only audio but no video. Must be my sweet 56k connection.

A little bit, but its mainly just the product of two teams with alot of physical players. Remember the last time these 2 played there was the Moen fight where he blindly swung and KO'd Weber and also O'donnell took down Hartnell. It was posted on here if that helps jog the memory!
-
aaaah...i was just sitting here looking at the Preds boxscore for the game and thinking to myself "hmmm...this team really sure doesnt look very good on paper!" lol. I guess that explains it!
-
Thanks. If that lead gets back to 2, expect Moen vs Weber next time they get in the same vicinity
-
I'd expect the fisticuffs to commence right out of the gate when the 2nd starts... And if Nash extends that lead any more...could be at least 4 of them to come!
-
Dont know why you'd use a boxing emoticon to describe Calder! The gritty thing i wont take issue with, but i do take issue with the physical game part..to be a physical player you HAVE to be a hitter, no ifs ands or buts. He's not a physical player.

True...its not like it'd be surprising if someone like Matt Garza ends up lighting it up.

Can We Just Make Brett Hull the Commissioner Already?

So he's had this thing for a year now? Looks like Crymson U got him nowhere! -
Thanks for the scouting report Hatcher! I was also wondering if anyone held his rights. Hopefully the 'Nucks dont anymore and the Wings will notice what he's up to. At the very least, sign him up so you have the capability of bringing the kid up! Another Cam Janssen? He's my favorite right now so you know i'd be all about this! Sounds like a very entertaining player.

Maybe you guys are right on Miller, patience is not my best virtue! I'm only saying keep him up and trade Maroth though if his ERA was down in the 1's or something this spring and he was killin' everybody. I just dont believe it should be an open and shut case that he's minor bound just cause he's never played there. Not a believer in Cleveland..they just dont have the pitching. Pitching wins! I also think this will be a step back year for Minnesota with Liriano being out. Detroit and Chicago will be battling all year.

Ive got 5 on the guy from Kenya

^^ Hey Coyote- can you give me a lowdown on Keefe? Like who's he been fighting and what were the results? When i read the name Keefe i figured it was Sheldon who used to play for the Lighting. I dont know Adam. I have to admit 36 PIMS in 4 games makes me think he's my kind of player

Im pretty sure you're being sarcastic this time eva lol, but the small part of me that thinks you may be serious is quivering at that thought! No matter how you mixed and matched the bouts...the Booter/Norton/Bert line would be left lying in pools of blood! Probert vs Norton - ummm...next! Kocur vs Bertuzzi - Steve Moore wouldnt be sending Bert any get well cards...thats for sure! McRae vs Bootland - :nonono:
-
Sorry, but its just too hard to take Hussey, Langfeld, and Ellis' 2 pts combined out of the lineup right now. Bootland for sure would drag down that production.
-
Sure, I'd agree he's better than Williams. Im just disputing the notion that he's the answer to what's a tough and gritty player. Theres a distinct difference between someone like Jamal Mayers for example, and Calder. One's considered tough and gritty, the other isnt.
-
Make that one physical forward, eva.
-
Calder doesnt hit and doesnt fight,... the phrase tough and gritty forward just doesnt seem to fit for me (more-so the tough part of it) Betuzzi? Yes. Calder? No.
