No apology coming from this guy! Dont get me wrong, Im happy we got Bertuzzi, however, this team is still lacking in physical players and toughness. Just Bertuzzi is not enough. What happened to adding someone more physical to the 3rd/4th lines?

Even then though, i dont really think so. Im not gonna be able to sleep easily tonight knowing that Holland believes Calder adds grit! lol. I just hate the thought of him thinking he's addressed the issue in some way, you know? Cause that couldnt be further from the truth. Here's hoping for two physical forwards tomorrow! (with actual grit and some toughness!)

His prime with the Flames? Try Colorado about 10+ years ago. He fell off actually when we went to Washington and cut all his hair off. Then after battling some shoulder problems in Wash he made a resurgance to being a higher quality figher with the Rangers some time back.

Because he's no good. Look, here's my perspective on why im hell bent on bashing guys like Ellis, Hussey, and Langfeld. This team has no real physical forwards, no bangers, no toughness. The 4th line is typically a good a place to have some of that. So when i see guys like this who bring nothing AT ALL to the table occupying these spots, it pisses me off.

Holland calling Calder "gritty" in that article ARice posted bothers me. Kyle Calder does not add grit! I hope to god Holland realizes Calder does nothing to address that need. Reminds me of when he called Lilja a tough defenseman.

They sure as hell dont have anywhere near the grit and toughness Calgary's had, nor Edmonton last year. They're all Luongo and thats it.

This is exactly my point as well. Why not someone who adds some toughness and can hit at least? Thats a pretty healthy salary difference for yet another softy who adds none of that.

Not necessarily. Anaheim was looking to replace him with Parros after he got his grill caved in by Boogaard and wasnt going to be able to fight for quiite a while. So they moved him to Philly for only a 4th rounder...not like Philly aggressively pursued him. I cant imagine the Fridge is an untouchable, plus he's an imending FA so they could get something for him and then re-sign him.

If they deal with Philly and get Calder and not Fedoruk...thats the kinda thing that gets me anggggggry!

Just when i started putting my sights on Nolan! This is it for Eklund, if this doesnt go through we should officially ban all rumors from him. Guerin would be real nice, but, what does worry me is that this will be such overpayment that they wont make any other moves. I hope they dont forget to add some muscle to the 3rd/4th line. Thats why ive kinda moved on from Guerin to Nolan...because they'd still look to add another guy. I doubt they'd do JUST Nolan and call it a day. Guerin however...

Oh, that just goes back to the St Louis game where Hasek got trucked by Ryan Johnson. Thought he shouldve reacted alot more to that is all. That incident just epitomized my frustration with the lack of the Wings sticking up for each other...so Lebda gets my ire for the time being! I dont think he's that bad or anything, but i honestly do believe he'll always be a 5th/6th defenseman and no more. I think the talk of him following in Lidstrom's footsteps is totally outlandish, but thats just me.

You could try Hudler with Lang...but no way do you put both Hudler and Flip on the 2nd line.

Nah, only way the Nucks have any shot of getting passed the first is to play Dallas or Minnesota. And even then...the winner of that series would get trounced in the 2nd.
