Career 5th/6th defenseman (umm..disregard the sig )
-
Nope, that was Lang for Zednik. Then Lang for Souray.. then basically Lang for everyone on Montreal at one time or another.
-
Where do you see St. Louis in maybe a couple years?

lol, that sounds like a Yogi bit -
Cool, Zednik gone and Modin re-signed. Two guys to scratch off my for the love of god dont trade for list.

Trade for second-tier players are Wings' only option

Sure, if you're willing to part with Filppula, Kindl, 2 1sts, and a 3rd. -

St Louis is definitely up and coming. I think for Guerin they need to go the straight prospect route, no more picks. Grab one or two guys from a team who will be NHL ready next season. -
Anaheim has a little hole now that O'Brien is gone, also theres the obvious need for a Dman in SJ. If he goes anywhere, i'd assume it would be one of those 2. Much more likely SJ though, as Anaheim really just needs a 5th/6th guy. But if the Ducks did get him that would be sick..

I agree the Coburn trade was not good at all. However the one thing definitely on Atlanta's side is having 2 players with top notch trade value on their team in Hossa and Kovalchuk. If theyre unhappy with their results this season...they could always move one in the offseason and bring multiple good prospects/picks in return. One would be certain to be a premier prospect.

Wings have made an Offer for Jason Blake
Lou_Siffer replied to russianswede919293's topic in General
^^ Utterly uninformed post Martin Lapointe has 59 PIMs in which 25 minutes of those are fighting majors. This leaves 34 minutes in minors, barring any misconducts he may have recieved. Jason Blake has 24 minutes, not much of a difference. Now the kicker, 7 Red Wings have more than 34 minutes without majors, including both Zetterberg and Lidstrom. So i ask you, where my friend are all these needless penalties Mr Lapointe is guilty off? -

I think the key words in the article were bidding war. I cant imagine any bidding war being won with Williams and a pick. Be realistic please! Rest assured...it will be Hudler and picks. -
Wrong...Krys Barch.

Oh, what i said about Nolan is most definitely true But, that doesnt mean they still dont need more grit and toughness aside from him. I still think its very necessary to add someone to the 3rd/4th line. I'd be happy with Nolan and Fedoruk, and another defenseman who's trade price isnt high.
-
Yes, definitely. Not to say he'll do it often...but he's always been very tough. Obviously he's not the player Guerin, but toughness is the one category Owen has the definite edge over Bill in.
-
Just because Peters went down doesnt mean its an automatic loss...to me that looked like more of a balance thing than getting punched down. Thats a big difference. Peters clearly landed the hardest shot, but i still give Gratts the overall edge. By the way, if you're calling it a close fight...why are you using words like owned? Just curious.
-
Yeah...i think two 1sts sounds about right if he re-signs...1st and 2008 2nd or 3rd if he doesnt. I think ultimately Anaheim will get him though. You'd think if the Ducks were pushing for Guerin and St Louis wants a young defenseman +picks, that they wouldve just used Shane O'Brien in that deal? Seems like that 1st they got from TB will be used for Bert. Guerin i still think will end up in Pitt.

"Owned"? "Destroyed"? Hardly Zetter...dont let your emotions scew things now! Edge McGrattan, this was way closer than your making it sound. This was great for the game of hockey, fighting and hitting are the only 2 things that have crossover value to fans of other sports like football...and can get them interested. As much as Bettman and the boys would like to believe they can survive on finesse...it will never happen.
-
Really, if its just 1 stinkin' draft pick....why not just grab him? I still have a REALLY hard time believing itll be just 1 pick...but if that were the case even if that pick became a 1st who cares.
-
In that case i'll take a guess that we're looking at Kindl/2007 1st/and maybe a 2008 conditonal 2nd or 3rd (1st if he re-signs). The first rounder with Kindl is a lock, but with todays inflation you know it wont be JUST that.
-
Doh!, i was looking at the list for 2006 FAs and not 2007!
-
Yeah, he's been very impressive
-
I'd be all in favor of dumping Schneider somewhere and then picking up Norstrom (obviously LA would NOT take Matt). Now what are the chances? .03%, because they wont trade Schneider.
-
Off topic, but Mark Bell landed a beauty of an uppercut on Primeau..
-
You know, with the return the Flyers have been getting...they should just saw screw it and trade Simon Gagne. Get 2 more prospects and another 1st rounder! Its not like they couldnt just try to re-sign him or Forsberg in the offseason.
-
Another great trade for the Flyers The guy will be only turning 22 though, you dont give up on a guy with that size already for Zhitnik.

Im glad i could make your sig. Now at least every post you make can finally have something good in it (my name).
