Honestly if someone laid an elbow into Lappy, or smashed his head into the glass...i wouldnt have a problem with it and would support it. Im with GMR on the revenge aspect of it, (not that i'd want his neck broke) but im still able to appreciate and respect a player like him even while i want bodily harm inflicted at the same time. Well put. Even though i want his ass kicked again and again for injuring Lidstrom, Lappy is a quality hard nosed player.

Yeah, i'd definitely have to put that in the top 10! Orr definitely landed alot more, but it seemed like every shot Boulerice threw was a bomb! Im not a HUGE fan of Jesse, but i do kinda like him and think he's an NHL caliber fighter....so i hope he sticks around.

Probably not, i guess at this point im worried how he'd even fare against someone like Phaneuf though. Hopefully he'll be out there throwing the body every chance, Mac really wasnt much of a hitter his last few seasons here imo.

I highly doubt that myself. One will always be scratched, unfortunately i feel that it will be Downey most nights...at least initially.

You know Cote will want to rematch Orr, hopefully Colton doesnt decline in an effort to be "smart" as ive seen him do a few times this year. Boulerice is also in...sucks that Strudwick is out as Orr is the only guy who is capable of fighting either.

The chance to see a few more fights is really the only thing im looking forward to. I just hope people keep their expectations in check as to how he's going to look in those scraps, and that he's best off fighting middleweights for the most part. In that essence, he would be replacing Drake...which i wouldnt have a problem with. This is one instance where i really hope im proven wrong about a player...

I do agree that if he's going to be in the lineup, then he should be on the 2nd line as he has no place and is useless on the bottom lines. Since day 1 this has always been my argument as to why Hudler has no future on this team and should be moved. I dont feel he brings nearly enough to be in our top 6, especially considering the makeup of the others in it and his size. He will never be a good bottom line player, therefore i see no place for him here. Ive always envisioned Hudler's future as being a pretty decent 2nd liner on a bad team.

Exactly. Thats the main point in this discussion. As far being on the 4th line goes,.. Downey > Hudler. Hudler will do nothing on the 4th line, he will not hit, in all likelihood wont put the puck in the net, and will create no energy. He will not play the role thats required of a 4th liner. Its a very bad fit, dont you guys see that? So therefore, if he isnt on the 2nd line...what good is he? He is completely out of place.

stick- what that poster said about Downey never winning was obviously nonsense so i very much agree there, but im gonna have to disagree with the bolded part. I dont see how you get consideration for most improved heavyweight when only 1 of your wins is actually against a heavy, and the draws are against bottom tier ones.

Read the article, it tells you right there. Increasing leg strength can have a huge benefit in hockey. Im sure theres also more than a few fighters that'll tell you the benefit of roids as well... Bettman sounds like an absolute fool....not that its surprising.

Wish i could say i was THAT good, but nah, you were my Joe Thornton on that one (kind of let down on myself that i never thought of the Sharps thing until that moment though)
