Whats funny about Florida is most teams that use 2 QBs like that have the white guy as the passer and the black dude as the fast runner. With the Gators its the opposite!

I agree, that would be disgusting if they did that. I really dont think they would though since the game was so lopsided. Since Notre Dame is a draw they need to just throw them up against i dont know, someone like Rutgers or Boise St....one of the lesser known teams.

Id much rather see Michigan against one of the SEC teams. Cal/Mich would probably be a pretty tight game but i think we all know Michigan's a lock to win that. Michigan against LSU would definitely be more interesting if that were to happen. I want them against one of LSU, Florida, or Arkansas.

You're probably right. I hope its not Michigan/Cal though...thats just not intriguing to me at all! Aside from the whole tradition thing, but i think thats thrown out the window given both teams came in 2nd. Its kinda lame imo. Hmmmm...

I had a feeling this would be a step into the mud game for Arkansas, I also have a hunch Florida is in for a serious battle as well. Both of them are great teams but caught in a situation where the opponent will be laying it all out on the line and giving it their all. If Arkansas only had even a decent QB there'd be no stopping them...McFadden is unbelievable. Even the backup is good as hell too! I really hope Arkansas wins the SEC and it put up against Michigan.

The whole team doesnt need to be fired, just everyone except for Kevin Jones, Roy Williams, Mike Furrey, Dan Campbell, and Shaun Rogers! Are we EVER going to have a good offensive line? How about just a decent one? My fantasy team would like to thank Tony Romo for his performance. Is this guy good or what? This whole situation just reminds me of Tom Brady, the situations werent the same but good ol' Drew to a backseat to both. I think the Lions need to sign Bledsoe so he can be replaced by Orlovsky!

I also want to see Joey torch Bly! (and i actually have a Bly jersey by the way so im not a hater) The Lions are only good for comedy at this point, like every year, i want the funniest things possible to happen. To see Joey throw for 350 and 4 TD's and get roaring cheers would make my day!

Its at 12:30 Blak. Its pretty bad when all you have to look forward to is the crowd. Being on national tv i just hope we do something great like start cheering Joey late in the game. That would be hilarious...the anti Millen stuff had better be in full effect! Dont let me down Detroit.

Cam Jannsen has become my favorite player. Not that i see a ton of NJ games, but every time he's laying out huge hits and will fight anybody. Very entertaining player..

We see it all the time where teams holding a multiple score lead start playing soft on D very late in the 4th and the other team scores. I believe theres a difference in a 3pt loss of a team who battles back and forth to the end and one who loses by 3 and was trailing from the first quarter on. Im not trying to kick dirt on Michigans effort, but im just saying the whole "we only lost by 3!!!!" thing is a little deceiving. Arkansas' loss to USC was their first game of the year, yes they got routed and it was bad but im willing to show more leeway because of that. They are a team who's at their peak right now. The standings still show each team with only 1 loss, and if Arkansas wins out they will have actually WON a Conference title and defeated better teams than Michigan. We're talking about denying other teams a chance in favor of granting a rematch, dont you believe theyre should be a clear cut far and away case to be made for that to happen? Like "wow Michigan is so much better and has accomplished much more than these other 1 loss teams". I certainly dont see it. Michigan HAD their chance and lost, next year they get the Buckeyes at the Big House...go undefeated again and take another shot. Thats just the way it is... If either Florida or Arkansas win out, im hoping the pollsters will bump them up. Certainly theyll go up in the computer ratings, especially Arkansas would. They still have 2 big potential wins sitting on the table for them. Florida also still has potential to go up with the SEC title left. The weak schedule part was directed at another poster, i didnt quote you on that. Im sure if the Big 10 did split into 2 seperate divisions, OSU and UM would be paired in the same one....like Auburn and Alabama for instance. MSU/Mich would be in the same as well. That insures they only play each other no more than once. They would have to throw Wisconsin, Penn St, and Iowa in the other division to at least attempt an effort at balancing it out. They dont have the depth of good teams like the SEC but i actually wouldnt mind seeing it. Of course first they'd have to do something about the odd number of teams...unless they just threw 6 in one of them. Im not sure what you're getting at, but never did i say that i'd choose a 2 loss team over Michigan. Yeah and if USC beats ND, theyll probably drop out of the top 10. So then Michigan will just be left with a Wisconsin team who scheduled nothing but complete patsies. Thats a top 10 win with an asterisk in my eyes because we have no idea if this team is any good!

Ok, yes the final score was close and it was a good game...but it wasnt exactly a see saw battle to the end. When I add things up, i believe the wins of USC, and either Arkansas or Florida to be better than those of Michigan. Now this is all hypothetically speaking...Arkansas could lose to LSU and hell you never know maybe Florida St decides to show up. But for the sake of argument lets say they win these games. 5 BEST WINS FOR MICHIGAN At Notre Dame Wisconsin (who have they beaten again??) At Penn St (a team that got thrashed by ND remember..NOWHERE near last years team) At Minnesota Iowa Are you guys really gonna tell me that aside from the Notre Dame win this are good wins? After Ohio St and Michigan the Big 10 stunk. Now lets compare USC: 5 BEST WINS FOR USC: At Arkansas Notre Dame (remember, this is hypothetical) Cal (killed Minnesota) At UCLA Nebraska Compare these wins to Michigan's now. You cant tell me UM's are better! 5 BEST WINS FOR ARKANSAS Florida (once again...hypothetical) At Auburn Tennessee LSU At South Carolina Now if Arkansas wins out, anyone who tries to still debate Michigan as #2 is either a massive homer or im sorry... just doenst know anything! These wins would be so much better than UM's its not even debatable. LSU is gonna be a real tough game though, i could see them dropping that looking ahead.. 5 BEST WINS FOR FLORIDA Arkansas (you know the drill by now...) At Tennessee LSU Georgia At FSU Not as strong as Arkansas but as a whole still better than Michigan. Ok so right now...where the heck is the debate at? Look at the facts. Now, if these 3 teams all lose again then i'll be all ears! But if any one of them finishes with 1 loss...its a no brainer! There you have it! I believe ive illustrated that Arkansas will have proven more than any of the teams, but if its between them, Michigan, and USC...the Trojans get it becuase of their win of Ark. This notion of them having a weak schedule is outlandish!

To do something crazy like give a rematch to Michigan, there has to be a very strong case made to justify them being better than the other 1 loss teams out there. And at this point, theres not even a case to be made at all. Theyre all pretty much on the same level as far as proving themselves. Michigan won at ND, Fla/Ark are in a conference with stronger depth, and USC won at Arkansas and will also have beaten ND. So where are the outstanding circumstances that would warrant dismissing those teams in favor of granting a rematch? I wouldnt call Florida losing at Auburn a poor quality loss. USC would annihilate Wisconsin.

    College Football

Hate to break it you some of you, but Michigan didnt exactly have a powerhouse schedule. The Big 10 is not strong this year...Iowa is bad, Penn St isnt good, and Wisconsin played NOBODY! The Badgers schedule is absolutely pathetic, I dont even call that a quality win for Michigan. The only meaningful win on for Michigan imo is Notre Dame and thats it. And the way you guys rip ND's schedule, is it really that huge a win then? You cant criticize ND but then tout Michigans win there as being huge...you cant have it both ways! Michigan has done nothing that illustrates they are any better than Florida, Arkansas, or USC.

I agree with excluding Notre Dame, but not Arkansas. If they win out, they are more deserving than Michigan since they actually won their conference. That loss to USC was their first game of the year too, and theyve gotten better and better since. A 1 loss USC is also more deserving than Michigan if they win out...no question in my mind. So what if Michigan lost to a tougher team, hey who knows, maybe Michigan would lose at Oregon State too! We'll never know, however, the one fact we DO know is that Michigan had their chance....and LOST. No rematch, its just stupid. Another team deserves their chance now.

Whoever scores first will win! If its Michigan...they'll roll with the win it for Bo extra momentum and will lead all the way through en route to a 27-24 victory. If OSU scores first, i pick them 24-16...with the game really not being as close as the score indicates (late TD by UM) Ok i guess i gotta pick one or the other...my gut says Ohio St.

Here we go again. Ive somehow managed to psyche myself up into thinking this team will be 5-6 heading into New England and right on the brink of the wildcard mix. My confidence is very high again for today...ugh im setting myself up! If they drop this game to SF i'll be even more sick than the GB loss.

Exactly. Now we have 2 potential DH's locked up long term for massive dollars. I just dont like it. As betterRED said theres no way in hell we can have Sheffield at 1B. I know Illitch has shown willingness to spend with the Wings and all...but there has to be a limit on how high he'd go.

And im sure Rutgers would probably cream Ball State! Every team has their so so games. Im all for Rutgers playing the winner of UM/OSU. Unfortunately though, i bet theyll lose to West Virginia. Rutgers beats Louisville, Louisville beats WV, now WV will beat Rutgers. Thats just the way i think its meant to go down. As for a UM/OSU rematch...come on really, who wants to see that???? IMO whoever loses that game had their chance and BLEW it. So lets say UM wins, and OSU gets the nod for the rematch. OSU wins and theyre now 1-1...yet OSU is the national champ. Its just stupid and I for one wouldnt like the rematch one bit, regardless if its a good game the first time. Give me something different...and yes even if that means a potential blowout game.

Those 3 Tigers are Humberto Sanchez, Kevin Whelan, and Anthony Claggett. Sanchez was our top pitching prospect and Whelan is a pretty decent bullpen prospect. I dont know anything about Claggett.. I hate Gary Sheffield, as of right now i dont like this trade at all. I wouldve rather used Sanchez as bait for somebody else. It appears on the surface that a Texiera trade probably wont happen now, i just cant see the Tigers giving up Bonderman AND Sanchez.

1)Granderson (L) 2)Polanco ® 3)Texiera (L/R) 4)Ordonez ® 5)Guillen (L/R) 6)Pudge ® 7) Stairs maybe as DH? (L) 8) Inge ® 9) Clevlen ® (if Monroe were dealt for a pitcher) Verlander ® Rogers (L) How about Jason Schmidt?® Robertson (L) Miller/Sanchez (spring training battle..) Im all for this! Looking at it typed out i think we can afford to lose Bonderman, the team looks better.

Now that i think about it, they wouldnt give up Tex for Nate, Shelton, and Clevlen. I think Humberto would almost have to be involved with Nate if we werent giving Bonderman. And even then...it would take another player added on. I'd really hate to lose Bondo, but the lineup is definitely missing something. We would just have to hope either Sanchez or Miller can make the jump,...or theres always free agency. How about Liriano missing the 2007 season? Wow..sucks for the Twins.
