I really couldnt say, you'd think they couldve gotten more but then again, i dont know anything about Picard other than he does have alot of points for a defenseman (granted, its for the Phantoms...) and is only 22 i think.

I definitely see Dallas getting Richards. Given his huge overpaying contract, his trade value isnt really what it should be, and given that the Stars dont have the assets to get a Hossa....i think they'll come up with just enough to get Brad. They could really use him too..

Great point. Personally, I didnt want Hossa for the longterm anyway, so in this case it doesnt matter to me. Curious to see who gets moved tomorrow and what couldve been though with Flip though, as he's definitely not an untouchable type player.

Aaah ok, didnt know about the next year thing. Was just thinking that since they couldve added Sundin, they could get Jokinen since they make the same money.

They could i guess, but things would be tight again though salary wise next season. One of Schneider/Niedermayer obviously would have to be gone for sure. It probably could be done with the cap going up....Weight's salary would be gone, not sure who else would be free agents aside from Perry. If they threw that Edmonton first with Ryan i couldnt see any way that Detroit or anybody really could top that.
