Nope. If we were the only team interested in him maybe that would be the case. But im sure there's teams with worse records than us interested, so their 2nd round offers would carry more value. Thats why we'd have to put up someone like Hudler to sway the Caps our way.
-
Oh yeah...the Caps are really gonna give up their first rd draft pick, you do follow the standings right?

Theres no doubt Pride is better and has better fighter depth than the UFC. Fedor would murder the UFC's champ Arlovski. The only thing the UFC really has going for them is their connection with Spike TV...and their welterweight division. Pride has an hourly show on Fox Sports, with new episodes airing monthly. Its usually pretty good..

This card is pretty lame if you ask me, but here goes: Whitehead vs Jardine - This is ridiculous that they would give Whitehead another chance at a PPV! Im betting this probably will be one of those pre show fights that doesnt air. Anyway..Ill just take JARDINE by split decision. Sakara vs Sinisic - Ill take SAKARA by guillotine (rd 3). Why is Sinosic even on the card... Buentello vs Aldana - Aldana has a 3 second KO win in the books lol, and is 5-0 with all of his wins being 1st rd knockouts. That means this should be a toe to toe standup fight with a sure fire KO, I'll take The "Head Hunter" BUENTELLO by KO (rd 1). Vera vs Eilers - Id really love to see Vera get smoked, but Eilers hasnt looked good since the Kyle win and will probably get nailed with a knee. VERA by TKO (rd 2) Babalu Sobral vs Van Arsdale - Sobral is very underrated cause everyone just remembers the famous Liddell kick on him. He's one of the best at 205 and will win this one fairly easily with an arm bar. SOBRAL by submission (rd2) Monson vs Hinkle - Dont really know much about these guys, just that Monson has won his last 12 fights. Probably against nobodies though, i'll just go with my gut and say HINKLE by TKO. Diaz vs Riggs - I think Riggs has been pretty overrated, i cant believe people actually thought he'd have a chance against Hughes. I'll take DIAZ via triangle choke in rd 3. Cruz vs Mir - Mir coming off a long layoff after his injury. For the sake of their heavyweight division, i hope its a good fight with Mir winning to set up an Arlovski fight. But also making Cruz a future contender at the same time. I'll take MIR by unanimous decision. Cotoure vs Liddell - I see this playing out alot like the last fight. Iceman is just too tough to take down and will end up catching Cotoure with multiple shots and winning by TKO in Rd 1.

I used to be a big time fan when the UFC first started, then kinda stopped watching it when they stopped doing the tournament format. I wish theyd still do that once in a great while...nothing beats a good ol' tourney. Anyways, I started getting back into it over the last couple years, mainly thanks to the INHD channell that re-airs some of the ppvs.

With regards to Tom Moore, it would make alot more sense if he were to leave and come here. Being in the league so many years maybe he would look at the Detroit situation as a chance to prove himself. But I dont see any need for Wisenhunt to do that.
-
Well of course im not saying the Lions shouldnt approach him, my point is simply why in the world would he leave an offense with proven talent to come to Detroit for the same position?? He'd have a better offense in Pittsburgh which would help his head coaching resume like it did Mularkey. Come to Detroit and have struggling offense, and your shot at becoming a head coach is next to nil.
-
Wisenhunt is the OC right? I dont see any reason why he would leave Pitt to take the same job here. Even if he got a pay increase, its way too risky for him. He needs to use Pitt as a springboard to move up to head coach, if not this year then next year. If he came here he would be in a position where our offense would HAVE TO produce or his stock for becoming a head coach in the future would be hurt drastically. Like if he came here and our offense still ranked in the 20's, who the hell would want him then?? Unproductive QB's and WR's, s***ty line....way too much of a gamble for him.

No problem! I like my Datsyuk for Murray and a 3rd rounder trade the best. Everyone always has us dumping an older guy like Lang and a draft pick for another teams young star.
-
Now why would Washington want Robert Lang back?? The only deal we will get for Lang is for a salary dump, i.e. Lang for another higher paid player who's not performing up to expectations. Dont you think a rebuilding club like Washington would prefer to get good young talent in return for Witt? Ottawa's not trading Chara!

How about Henrik Zetterberg for Vaclav Varada and and Denis Hamel? Is this a joke? Yes, I figured the multiple eye rolls would be enough to make it clear it was sarcasm. His trades are so ridiculously in our favor i spun them around to show the equivalent if we were to get screwed over the same way.
-
How about Henrik Zetterberg for Vaclav Varada and and Denis Hamel? Why not Pavel Datsyuk for Glen Murray and a 3rd rounder? Lets just do McLennan and Gary Roberts for Legace and Williams instead!
-
C'mon people, isnt it obvious hes just putting on an act now?
-
I agree, Detroit fans LOVE fights. Even when its a crap hugfest they still go nuts!
-
While he certainly doesnt fill the McCarty void, at least he's better than nothing and adds a dimension the team lacks. Call him up!
-
Hell yeah they need one, but will they get one? Nope. Not as long as Holland and the boys are running things. He says we need to add toughness on D...we end up with Lilja! If he says we lack toughness up front...we'll end up with a another big euro! I love the argument that the Wings just dont have room for a fighter, yet you look at the best team in the league in the Ottawa Senators and see Brian McGrattan playing every game. AND they have Neil. Its all about having another dimension to your team, there is no one on the Wings that plays physical!

Its been getting the job done, but lets look at the quality of opposition. While Seattle's toughest opponents throughout the year have been against the likes of Washington and Carolina, Pittsburgh has been beating teams like San Diego, Cincy (2x), Indy, and Denver. Seattle's strength of shedule is absolutely awful compared to Pitt. Id like to see Seattle's D against any of those high powered offensive teams of the AFC that Pitt has beaten. I say Pitt probably puts up about 34 on the Hawks.

Yeah the chick in the pink is definitely stalkable, I guarantee the one in the black is stuck up though! stalkable? wow, i'm flattered... i think and for the record, holly is probably the most honest and geniune friend i have. easily the most beautiful and "knows" it the least. look up stuck up in the thesaurus - her name shows up as an antonym! Yep, stalkable is definitely a compliment! Not that i'd do that type of thing ...just having some fun with our resident stalker goblues! Sorry for being wrong on your friend, i wouldve bet money she was a rich stuck up "princess" who only dates guys with expensive cars. Usually im pretty good at predicting someone personality just by looking at them, my instincts have let me down.
-
Come on lets not get carried away now...McCabe is definitely better than Schneider. No to this trade. The only established defensemen i can think of right now that id trade Lidstrom for is Zdeno Chara.
-
Wont even be a game...Seattle has NO chance whatsoever. I say Pittsburgh by a minimum of 13 and the outcome will never be in doubt after the first quarter.

I was definitely hoping Martz would consider the OC job right when he was fired, hes an excellent offensive mind, just a terrible head coach. Look what he's done with his system..taking average QB's and churning out big time numbers.Marc Bulger doenst do much of anything anywhere else imo. Im pretty damn excited about this! Now i hope we keep Charles Rogers, cause with him and the two Williamses I think Martz could turn this crap into a prolific offense. His offense emphasizes the WR position, and when you spend 3 straight picks on it well....might as well get a guy like him! And considering our head coach is a defensive guy makes this match even better.
-
Hey you're pretty cute there! But whats up with all the eye makeup???
-
Would you like to date a Blues fan? I can picture her right now getting a restraining order.. uhh.. not exactly the best time for you to ask someone on a date if you get my drift!

Billy Volek still has a few years left on his contract...however with the emergence of Vince Young that could play right into our hands. If New Orleans takes Leinart as expected, that will leave Tennessee in a position where they have to decide if Volek is really their future. My guess is they cant pass on Young and they'll end up dealing Volek right on draft day to the Lions. Since theyll be forced to deal him i dont think it would cost us more than probably a mid round pick...probably our 3rd rounder. So instead of drafting a QB we take a chance with Volek who could be ready to start right now...I'd have no problem with that. Of course this would all hinge on what happens with Vince Young.. Lions need to overhaul this damn O-line...cause its pathetic. Draft the best available tackle! And sign a DE, Hall and Redding is a sh!tty duo. Imagine what we could do with a real pass rusher to compliment Rogers.
