Yeah...i really wish this was the Tank of the early UFC days when he was so much younger. He used to be my favorite back in the day for the reasons you gave. Still though, its funny how excited im getting for this fight. Im more excited for this than i have the UFC in a quite a long time. I hope Kimbo stands with him, but i wouldnt be suprised to see Kimbo's trainers giving him the take him down and go for the choke gameplan...just to say "hey look Kimbo knows how to fight on the ground now!11!!" Give the fans what they want, this fight is tailormade for a knockout ending...dont disappoint just in an effort to show how "diverse" Kimbo can be.

I dont know, maybe you're right...he'd probably feel more at home on St Louis. A McDonald - Lang - King line comes to mind. I'd be a little leery of Lang's hearty though with all this burger talk, wouldnt mind it if he got checked out at the Mayo clinic first before we make any trade inquiries. If you think there isnt a place for him, what if we trade Sammy, thats a hole he can fill eh? Or am i just fishing on that one?

San Jose is more physical than the Ducks? Um..no.

Dallas is always a fraud, i dont see why this year will be any different than last. So yes, the Wings can beat Dallas as i dont view them as much of a threat at all. However i have a feeling something very significant is going to happen with them at the deadline, so we'll see. Anaheim i say no though, the Wings would need somebody else to knock them out.

HAHA! Good one Kp! Did you know Burger King was originally supposed to name their Angus burger the Langus? Unfortunately Lang was looking for a little something extra to top the deal off and negotiations ended. In all fairness though, he gets grilled here alot but lettuce remember the good things he did here....and given our team's current pickle, maybe it wouldnt be so bad having him back around! I cant imagine two better additions that he and big Mac...that would be a whopper of a deadline if you ask me. Nobody would see the Lang trade coming either, Holland would sure throw a slider at all of us! Lang could definitely help "ourB" powerplay unit and more than anything, and help Rally the team out of our current slump. Plus look at the guy's size, he's a Big boy and would add some much needed beef to the roster. His heart still belongs on the Wings i believe, he's old but not done by a longshot and still bleeds red....so i say why the hell not bring him back? Might take him a few weeks to get re-adjusted, but i'd expect by patty's day he'd be really cookin'!

Whats to stop Chris Chelios from taking HGH and never getting caught? Oh wait...

Pretty sure i went 0 for 5 as well. I knew that 4 for 4 i had last Friday was a fluke for the ages.

As am I. Ive been saying trade Hudler all damn year! But as usual, most people here tend to not want a guy traded until his trade value plummets. Still though, something can be had for him. It wont be a Sundin or Hossa, but you can still find something you need, and potentially a key piece for him. Flip is obviously struggling as well, but he has twice the potential that Hudler does for this team. As ive always said, Jiri's the one that longterm doesnt fit in here, especially considering our makeup and the types of players we produce. He's more than expendable.

Is that not beautiful or what? I keep cracking up whenever they show him! For those who are probably wondering what the hell happened to him, im pretty sure this has something to do with it!

Come on Boll...suck it up and get out there.

Im not arguing that the Bertuzzi trade shouldnt have been made, just explaining the point about the risk. Even though the opinion was we gave up little at the time, if he wasnt able to play, then its like you added nobody. Thats where the risk lied. People are saying that even if Fedorov doesnt produce "whats the harm"? The harm is you missed out on somebody else that could have! Thats my point. Its undeniable that Fedorov is going downhill very fast. You're all banking on him rekindling something. The holes that i see on the team Fedorov does not address, therefore while i dont think he makes the team worse he doesnt fill areas of need....hence i want nothing to do with him.

Oh believe me, im in no way touting Butterbean as some good MMA guy. Just saying that against a guy like Kimbo, who wouldnt have the experience or ability to get him on the ground or keep him there, i'd take Bean to knock him out. Im looking forward to Kimbo vs Tank, ill be rooting for Tank even though i think he'll probably get KO'ed in less than a minute.

Its more about the moves that ARENT made because we get Fedorov. Thats the downside to it. Just like last year, going for Bertuzzi was a risk based on the fact that if he didnt get healthy, then you missed out on other people that were available because you went that route. If the Wings give up a 1st for Fedorov, thats probably all theyre going to do. So if you're like me and dont see him as a solution to areas of need, then that makes it a bad move in that sense....cause nothing else will get done. Not to mention i hardly believe he's an answer to 2nd line scoring...

I'll go over on Dontrelle, just based on the fact that even if he posts a mid to high 4 era, odds are he'd still get to 13 barring injury cause of our offense. I do have concerns about Willis going in, hopefully he shows me his downslide the past couple seasons was just due to being on the Marlins...or im going to be having nightmares about losing Miller. Cabrera with 35 is a toughy, im gonna say over though. Lets say he hits 38. Our offense is going to be unreal. But i still have alot of concerns over the pen...you just dont win in the postseason without one. Im very suprised this is what we're actually going in with...on paper it simply doesnt look good whatsoever.

Holy s*** I had NO CLUE Lacrosse had this stuff going on! That and the other fights i saw on there were great...i feel like ive been really missing out. Whats the rules in Lacrosse for fighting? Do you get kicked out like college hockey or is it like NHL? Is fighting common? How often does a game have a fight? Sorry for all the questions but my interest is definitely peaked.

Well they have (had) useless guys at forward, but on defense they usually at least offer something. Meech will NEVER crack the top 6 imo, and he doesnt offer anything unique such as being big or really physical to warrant him being kept around as a 7th. Just get rid of him, i see no point in keeping him around. Or just try sending him down, its a coin flip whether he'd even be claimed anyway.
-
Meech has the potential to garner a 5th rd pick if you're lucky, and thats about it. I'd take the pick, because he's not good enough to ever have a permanent place here anyway.
-
While i do agree, i just found it weird that you claimed Meech actually has potential in another thread only 3 minutes earlier!

What do you think the problem is for our current slump?
Lou_Siffer replied to Lady in REd's topic in General
If Babcock dresses Ellis over Downey again, Im giving him a Dum Dum. -
I always thought he was slightly better than Langfeld, but thats not saying anything! I thought Drake would be the odd man out whenever Ellis played, especially if Drake had just played the previous game. Maybe not though...ugh.
-
Yes Kp, it was our favorite lineup move tonight. Downey- OUT , Ellis - IN

People tend to get enamored by flashy plays. Lebda makes one rush, and all of sudden he's the next Bobby Orr or something. Datsyuk could lose the puck 5 times, but make one good spin move and its OH MY GOD DATS IS AMAZING!!! Lebda's overall an average defenseman, who happens to be a good skater. Last i checked though, this isnt speedskating. (by the way im not criticizing Datsyuk, just using him as an example to make a point)

Wow. I'll take a list of teams whenever you get a chance (or even just 1), when you get a chance please. Thanks!

Meech has very, very limited potential. Ive seen absolutely nothing out of him to make me believe he's anything other than a 6th,7th defenseman / borderline minor leaguer.
