It should be noted the hat McGrattan is wearing in the picture from the article FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE IT HAPPEN KENNY!
-
I wonder if the Senators voted on who won afterwards
-
lol yeah, i guess so! Might have to go an extra 6 next time. Im just unstoppable now....I predict victory for next week!
-
Im not disagreeing with that. My only disagreement is the players on the Wings that you're saying carry the value to interest Buffalo for these guys.
-
I heard they used to do that whenever Lindy Ruff bit somebody.
-
Actually, its probably closer to triple. No way in hell they give us him for the guys you've named off so far.
-
Pominville has double the trade value of Connolly.
-
I wish people would stop throwing around Meech's name like he has some sort of weight...seriously.
-
2 for 1 doesnt mean squat! Its about the quality, not the quantity...its a point i dont think you're understanding. If the Leafs were offered the choice between Kindl alone or all 3 of Meech, Pyett, and Helm...they'd take Kindl without even thinking about it.

100% agree, which is why we wont have Sundin. Its not as if Toronto has to trade Sundin, they are going to move him only if its an offer they cant turn down. There will always be those few teams every year willing to sell the farm to make a run....the fact the rentals havent panned out recently has no bearing on it.

Kindl Hudler 1st 3rd (with that turning into a 1st if he re-signs) Like it or not, thats reality.
-
If you actually believe that the trade value of Derek Meech and Cory Emmerton is the equivalent to what Scottie Upshall and Ryan Parent were, i dont really know what to say other than you're way off.
-
^^ Agreed. Just take what Nashville gave up for Forsberg as a base, and add an additional 1st or good, quality prospect.
-
Hatcher definitely wasnt showin' much love, dude.
-
I think its symbolic of him being on the bubble for making the all star team.
-
Nope. Downey will more than likely be sitting alot after today, unless other injuries happen.

What professional non NHLer would you like to sign?
Lou_Siffer replied to BeeRYCE's topic in General
Yeah...besides we've already had one figure skater do pretty well in the NHL -
Agreed. Theres alot of other consonants and vowels for Zajac to choose from. This definitely puts a different spin on that term though doesnt it?
-
What the hell else was Hatcher supposed to do though with fingers in his mouth? Pat Zajac on the back? Lying or not though, this kid could make a fortune in his career with the wheels he's got.
-
No, they wouldnt. Just because a team feels like they may not be able to re-sign someone, doesnt mean they would give them away for a third of their value. What about all the other teams in the league who might want those guys? Do you really think the Wings could sneak in with a lame offer like that and get those two? No way. You have to give up guys of value. If we traded Derek Meech for a draft pick, we'd be lucky to get a 5th. You called him a solid prospect earlier,...no, he isnt. He is nothing special, and is your basic run of the mill prospect. How can you even say Meech is an NHL caliber defenseman? He hasnt proven anything yet, he's only here because they feel they might lose him on waivers if he wasnt. Lebda and Meech together wouldnt even get you Gaustad. Cory Emmerton isnt some stud prospect either...Sabres could do MUCH better than that.

And as for the lucky bounces, yep the 2 goals in game 1 that went off Anaheim skates were just all skill!

Its really amazing to me how quickly Red Wings fans forget the damage that lower seeded teams can do in the playoffs. It doesnt matter whether theyre the 2 seed or the 8 seed, the Ducks will be a legitimate contender no matter what. In hockey, all bets are off when the regular season ends. And as far the first part of your post...talk about excuses man. Yeah thats the same Vancouver and Minnesota team that people here were afraid to play. Hell even now Luongo still worries people. Only because the Ducks dispatched of them quickly did they became gift, weak opponents.

I bet he thought he it was finger lickin' good.

Well, i think it has more to do with the way the game is today. I mean there are some good or great players who can throw the fists, but theyre more than likely encouraged not to. Fighting back then was alot more prominent. A guy like Nathan Horton is very much in that mold for example, but obviously Florida isnt going to be happy if he is getting in 10 fights a year. Its just way things are viewed these days, which of course i dont like! Joe Thornton and Iginla are also guys that are great players that would be fighting alot more if they played back in the day. Good players who can fight are definitely around, they just dont do it as often, or much at all is what im saying. I mean look at what Rick Nash did against Jim Vandermeer, i mean who the hell seen that coming?
