As i doubt that fight would happen (as Downey is out of Ott's class), Im just hoping the words between the 2 inspires Barch to challenge him! Theyve been on the ice almost every shift together so far.

Your proposals are ridiculously in our favor eva. A couple things: You are overrating Meech, Emmerton, and definitely McGrath. And the part about swapping in Ellis or Hartigan for our side and Gaustad for theirs? Do you realize that Ellis and Hartigan COMBINED would get laughed off if offered for Gaustad?
-
Exactly! Your goal example is dead on. He'll be ranting about something a player did as a kid or whatnot, like for example: "Dan Cleary used to skate on the pond near his house for 4 hours every day, (*unacknowledged 2 on 1 rush*) his dad credits this (*puck goes in net*) for his skating abil...ITS IN! SCOOOOOOOOOORES!!!!!!!!!!"

Detroit gets : Ryan Malone and Brooks Orpik Pittsburgh gets : Jiri Hudler, Brett Lebda, Kyle Quincey The top 6 would be Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Holmstrom, Malone, Flip, and Cleary. Now realistically, Kirk Maltby isnt going anywhere. But this guy seriously has no purpose here anymore. If i were GM, he'd be gone. But no sense suggesting a trade since its 100% not going to happen.

I know...beating Jason Smith was a pretty big upset in my eyes...now TKO'ing Bell? Maybe Malone is juicing...someone check his helmet size! I think Ruutu was the favorite actually. He's not just your typical disturber, he's pretty damn tough and wins alot more often than he loses. Tucker fights passionately, but he's not very good at it.
-
Yeah, i know...its a shame though cause i think he'd a perfect fit to throw on the 2nd line. The top 6 is definitely in need of some muscle. Adding Malone (giving up Hudler for him is fine by me as ive said in previous posts) and a bigger physical defenseman, not necessarily a guy fights alot, just someone who plays a meaner style than what we've got, and i'd be damn happy.

A young Grim Reaper makes an appearance at the end...something about a suspension...nice!
-
Also, I want the Wings to get their hands on Ryan Malone by the deadline more than ever now.

Tucker got murdered towards the end...i didnt know whether to wince at the sight of him eating right after right while helplessly attempting to throw back, or to just laugh. I laughed. He's hard to figure out. Running from McCarthy that time is really the thing that continues to stick in my head over the years. I dont know, maybe the guy got bullied around alot as a kid and its what inspired him to become a fighter. And occasionally, the scared part of him resurfaces. Yes, thats it. Ive solved the mystery that is Donald Brashear.

Oh Im just talking about right now, not in the future. Theres a misconception going on that Lucic is one of the better fighters in the league at this point in time because he's looked good in so many of his fights...and also that he's a heavy. He's just not at this point is all im saying. The 2 heavies he's fought he's lost to.
-
I love Lucic, but at least this will quiet any champ talk as a little reality sets in. He's now 0-2 vs heavies as he loses to Erskine tonight (gets knocked down as well as at the end). Really good light heavy, but thats it for now. Lucic vs Erskine

I wouldnt put it passed Brashear to be a little afraid of McGrattan...it sounds stupid given that he's still the #2 fighter in the league imo but Brashear is weird like that. I remember a fight way back where he was owning McCarthy early on, but spent the second half of the fight backpedaling from him in what looked like total cowardice. Once Sandy got an intense crazed look on his face Brashear took tail and ran basically. EDIT: McCarthy jersey also ripped off at the time Brashear ran, but still...no excuse for that other than fear.

if you knew yzermans last year to play was the season...

Trading Yzerman for Tatoo wouldve been dependent on whether you could ink Tatoo to a new deal. -
Bar room brawler? Doubt it. But speaking of the bar, I bet Sammy takes shot after shot whenever he goes.

I also think GSP will be all over Serra the next time they fight. I think Liddell winning the way he did is more an indication of Silva being done than one of Liddell being back. Silva lost a few fights going in just like Chuck, and once again it appears that all along Pride was heaviliy overrated when compared to the UFC. I never ever thought i'd say this but honestly, at this point they could throw Fedor up against Sylvia and i'd pick friggin' Sylvia to win. This purchase has turned out to be such a huge disappointment for the fans. Rampage is the only thing thats worked out (he was out of Pride though and in a different organization)

If you want someone who does that, then you better send a memo to Holland and tell him to draft them. Enforcers who score points i.e. Chris Neil, become invaluable to that club and simply will not get moved. You have to produce these guys from your system or you simply wont get them. Since we never draft these rugged type players like Lucic and instead have a tendency of drafting small unphysical guys, what we're left with are enforcers of the unskilled variety.

Yep i remember that uppercut on Berube, where it looked like he flew up 2 feet in the air!
-
I used to really like Emrick, but he's becoming more and more Madden- like where he just starts ranting about whatever and not even acknowledging things that happen during the game. Ive noticed a few times just in the past couple games where a few real big hits have happened and he just kept going on and on with his story like he didnt even see it.

Downeys Conversation with a St. Louis beat writer this morning
Lou_Siffer replied to sticknmove's topic in General
Yeah, that one's a pretty cut and dry draw in my book. Takedowns only factor in with me if theres some punches to go with it, there just wasnt anything of note that landed. -
Or there was the one where he got knocked down by Cummins right off the bat, got up...and proceded to just pound him with wicked lefts! Of course....everything wasnt always hunky dorry... Laus kills Kenny

Belanger had a ton of concussion problems, I thought he was great when he was on the Isles. He had a year or two run where he really burst onto the scene, but he fell off really fast cause of the head issues. Man, once he got going with that left he could really dominate. I remember when the B's announcers were crying bloody murder when he destroyed their boy Odgers....thats probably my favorite Belanger moment. He was one of my faves back then.

Is that Ken Belanger in your avatar????
