The Sharks certainly are not Cup favorites. However, I dont understand why you guys would get on Wilson for those comments about the Wings series. Most of you all make the same exact claims regarding the Wings/Ducks series! (i.e. Ducks only won cause of Niedermayers fluke goal,...Wings were the better team, etc) No different. Consider the fact the Sharks were actually a little closer to beating the Wings than the Wings were to beating the Ducks...if you look at when the turning point in each series occured.

And of course, naturally afterwards Kris Draper would come out for the "curtain call".

I bet Maltby is really good at the "hit and run"....he's already the master of that in hockey!

I think this scheme would be pretty damn hilarious actually!

Theres good news and bad news. The good- What a victory last night! Seeing Leyland jumping around with the guys was priceless! Bad news- our playoff hopes just ended this afternoon Magglio has been unreal...but unless theres a drastic change theres just no way he should or will get the MVP over A-Rod. I cant be a homer on this one. At one point I thought so, but look at what A-Rod has done over the past few weeks in propelling his team to a 4 game or so lead in the wildcard?

Kitna played great, I dont know what else anyone could want from him. 1 bad interception that was his fault, but more than made up for it with 3 TD's, and nearly 300 yards passing. Also was very efficient and led his team down the field when we gave up the lead. He didnt make any really great throws, but he didnt have to. Thats why you have all these weapons under the Martz system, somebody will always have a mismatch and get open. As for the defense, up front we looked real good. However, it wont be till week 3 when the secondary is put to the test. Tarvaris Jackson is probably the worst starting QB in the league right now, stop the run and you beat them. I'd be stunned if we dont start out 2-0. After that though, things could get a little bumpy. I believe we can beat Chicago at home, but we wont win in Philly nor in Washington where we ALWAYS lose. Doesnt matter how the 'Skins look. 3-2 after 5 games though...hey i'll take it.

Sopel and another veteran d-man coming to camp

With the talk of the Wings needing a new arena, if the Wings won it all wouldnt it be nice to see Coffee drink from what could be the last Cup of the Joe? Whether he'd blend in or not one things for sure...you cant question his work ethic. Ive heard the guy's up and running at Eight O' Clock every morning. -
My god Cro Cop is a bum! What a total flop he's been. I really hope they dont try and push Kongo now for a title shot, if he's thrown in a main event against Couture no way will i be ordering it...he's crap. Randy would beat him within 2 rounds. A couple pretty decent fights last night, i kinda thought Bisping was given a hometown decision though. Really close, and i'd have to see it again, but I thought Hamill won. The main event was ok, a little slow early on, but ok. The UFC needs Jackson to keep winning as he's the new face of the organization, as he has by far the most crossover appeal of anyone theyve ever had because of his personality. All in all, decent night...but i still can not believe they are actually pushing friggin Liddell vs Jardine as the main event of UFC 76. What world do we live in where you can get knocked out in 40 seconds against a nobody and be in your first ppv main event your next fight? Shogun vs Forrest though was a really smart move on their part. What better way to establish Rua to the UFC fans by having him beat on one of their most popular fighters.

Unfortunately for them I rate this cane's jersey as a Level 1

University of Michigan - The upset - The future

Just think about the future. It sucks but in the long run this has all but assured Carr is gone after this season...and thats good news. I feel 100% certain that he'll "resign" (put the " " because he'll be pushed out by the university). The school needs to act at the end of this season and bring in a new coach before it kills their recruiting. Dont continue to hang on and sink like other big name school's have done. They are no different than Florida St...if it can happen to them it can happen to anyone. Theres some really good coaches out there that might jump at the Michigan job, just because a guy like Schiano denied Miami, doesnt mean he wouldnt come here if given a lucrative offer. They really need a new, younger face to take over. Carr's engine has blown. Also hopefully this start will help speed up Mallett's devolpment for next year, as he's almost assured to start getting some game action now i would think. That experience will go a long way. -

Time to forget about the greatest upset ever talk, not only was it not that, but it actually appears Appalachian St was the better team all along. -

How much are you gonna pay this guy though? With the cap and all, we cant afford to be giving him star bucks. -
Brent Seabrook to me seems like the obvious choice to captain the ship. Why the hell knot?! What better pick to put a stop to the ebb that has gone on with this organization for far too long.

Coffee? On what grounds are you basing this on? He'd get creamed out there. -
Yanks win again. Honestly if theyre able to take care of business against KC like we've been unable to its hard to say they dont deserve the w.c. Funny thing is all of a sudden it looks like Cleveland's the team we have better shot at overtaking! 5 games out now, with games coming against them. Get this thing down to 3 games by the time we play them, thats all i want. Whatever happens, the chance was there and the better team took it under the pressure.

I think Michigan is either going to completely blow Oregon to all hell by at least 30 pts....or lose. No in- between. It'll be pretty intriguing to see how they react after the loss, but this will be the last Michigan game i'll have any interest in till probably Ohio St. (or unless MSU happens to be unbeaten at the time they play) -
An aspiring football star who takes steroids and squats 200 lbs? (a staple lift of any football weight room mind you) Cant really say this adds up!

Good win yesterday, but its hard for me to not think about another near costly perfomance by Rodney. Opened the floodgates wide open Sunday and blows another lead yesterday...he's been better for the most part since his return but i still have zero confidence when he enters the game. Tigs doing well tonight so far, i think they'll sweep Seattle as theyre on the downslide, but those friggin' Yanks...its going to be very tough to overtake them.

Bad idea. After hearing the doorbell I'd probably duck down beside the couch thinking its the Jehovas witness...

Apparently Vancouver has washed their hands of Sopel... its a clean break for the two sides. -
There ya go, i think thats gotta be it.

And wait a sec, where exactly is the logic of criticizing Miami's offense when you have Marty Booker as your 3rd WR? That doesnt really make sense. Chambers > Booker
-
Miami's offense will be better this season with Cameron though. Who else is Green going to throw to? Trent Green isnt a world beater but he's the best QB theyve seen in quite a while. We dont start a TE, they just count as a reciever. Our draft rules are different than yours, we have to carry 2 D's and 2 kickers, hence why i drafted them. You have some question marks yourself. The Giants offense will seriously suffer without Tiki, so i dont really care too much for Brandon Jacobs as your #2 RB. I doubt he'll get the big TD total you're banking on. Also I wouldnt be surprised in the least to see Tony Romo totally flop, which would also effect T.O. obviously.
-
But the fact remains that overall, when its all said and done, he was average AT BEST for Miami. For every good game there was an atrocious one to match. Arguing between who's better Leftwich or Harrington is like arguing whos the, i dont know, 35th best goalie in hockey. If i had to choose though, i'd take Leftwich.
