I know what you mean. Its why i get frustrated when the Wings never draft guys like this...or try to acquire them while theyre in the minors for other clubs. I mean Carcillo was a 3rd rounder, Boll (who will score 10 next year) was a 4th....these are the types that have potential to become those invaluable guys you're talking about. We never seem to have anybody remotely like that in our minors.

That does seem really bad, but as far as conspiracies go you'd have to think the NHL desperately wants Ovechkin in....so they'd be helping the wrong team there.

Peters issue has to do with roids imo, or lack thereof i should say. Although if i was to rank the best fighters overall he wouldnt be #3, ranking this season's performance alone i'd have to give Orr the #3 spot. He had a strong year. Two other guys that moved up alot in my eyes and solidified themselves more are Ivanans and Shawn Thornton.

I knew fighting existed, but figured it was just heat of the moment brawls that get broken up quickly like in other sports aside from hockey. Never knew it was like hockey with squareoffs and everything..

Yeah, i predominantly blame the bats for this one as well for not cashing in more often. But in the future having to rely on Grilli and Bautista is going to be one scary proposition...

I think we might struggle a little bit out of the gate, reason being we need our starting pitcher to go 8 innings each time out so it'll take a few starts for each to build up their arm strength! Im not blaming the pen on this occasion mind you, but seeing these guys theyre gonna be marching out there we could be in for alot of frustrations. Im not buying into this Denny Bautista hype one iota, he's crap....as is Lopez, Grilli, etc. On paper it honestly is atrocious. On a positive note, nice to see Cabrera belt his 1st of many...and a real nice throw by Inge. If he keeps his mouth shut about 3rd and just plays, he'll get back on my good side.

I dont think we can decide anything from this...nothing to really judge him on. Nothing positive, nothing bad. The only moment i was disappointed in was the one hit oppurtunity that im assuming they counted as his one hit. I remember as i watched that he had a chance there to really lay the body good but it ended up being a love tap into the boards.

Yeah that was me. Ive been waiting for Chara to fight him... i know he did Laraque in another crap fight previous, but Brashear for so many years running has the been THE guy i want to see everyone test themselves against. I feel like with Chara, we just dont know how good the guy actually is....it disturbs me! I feel like with most everybody in the league i have a firm base as to how a good a fighter the guy is and who his comparables are. With Chara, i just feel pretty lost.

Mac will do ok if he fights the types of guys that Drake has fought, thats why i've always said he'd be a replacement for Dallas and definitely not Downey. If Mac fights DJ King, he gets spanked...taking on Janssen wouldnt be much better. Downey could put up a fight against these guys, and probably even draw with Janssen. Jamal Mayers would probably be the guy Mac would look to go with right off the bat.
