Ironically, I think the people posting the calm down threads are the ones that need to relax. They seem to be outnumbering the panic threads!

If you're gonna use the word produced im going to have to go back to the stat book! 4 goals in 19 games...that equates to roughly 16 over a full season. He scored 0,...count 'em...0 goals in the playoffs! Thats not doing what you're paid to do. Its exactly the same as somebody saying Kyle Calder was integral for the Wings because of what he did when he came here in the regular season.

In that case...theres nothing left to do except trade Rip and Rasheed! This team will not win as is, you're not going to get much for Rasheed but his time is up. -
But how in the world can he be as integral as your saying when he didnt even play a 1/4 of the team's games? And its not like Buffalo wasnt already really good prior to him...i guess i just dont see where you're coming from at all. They wouldve been in the exact same position without him.

I really dont think Thornton is a bad player at all for what he is. Hey...9 pts in 48 games isnt shabby at all for a fighter. By comparison, Maltby had 11pts over a full season (sorry, i always feel compelled to "point" out Kirk! ). I mean, who's more useful...Thornton or Langfeld? Im not sure what Boston dished out for him...but i dont think it would have been bad at all to take a chance with the guy.

I wouldve loved to be able have May, but honestly, im not sure it'd be a good fit at all for him. May is old but is a warrior, if he played on the Wings he'd be out there scrapping with all the big dogs and taking it on the chin too much. On Anaheim, he has Parros to take that load on.

May. He's getting up there in years for a guy who plays his style, and with him finally winning the Cup, it just seemed like it'd be his farewell.

Huh? Are you sure you arent confusing Zubrus with somebody else? He played 19 games in the regular season for Buffalo, and scored a whopping 4 goals. He then went on to go goal-less in the playoffs. I dont think ive ever been so confused over a post in my life! You've gotta be mixing him up somebody else..

Legace is a real good comparison i think. Even with Mason putting up extremely good numbers ive never felt that potential #1 vibe with him, as with Manny. In the end, they'd be better off with Vokoun and the other Mason... "Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaashviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiille Hoooooooooooooooooockey"!

If I had to lay odds on who the Wings will sign next...I would make Forsberg the favorite. I wish someone would hurry up and sign him and Kozlov so i dont have to worry about it anymore!

Its pretty good I guess... if you didnt want Ryan Smyth. Personally, I'd much rather have a nucleas consisting of Smyth and Zetterberg than Datsyuk and Zetterberg. Wouldve rather used that money on Smyth and signed a second line center to replace Lang. Just my opinion. (or used Flip at 2nd line center and signed another winger...whichever)
