Here's another beauty of a knockout: Be sure to watch till the end, as thats where they show the slo-mo replay

This reminds me of one of the funnier fights ive seen...for the beginning and the fact that Odjick keeps his right glove on the whole time. To set the stage, this was a playoff game, the game where McLaren (Bos)elbowed the s*** out of Richard Zednik (MTL). Outcome was decided late in the 3rd, and Odjick was trying to get Stock to go. Sorry, no volume.
-
I loved Stock as well...and i also wanted him as a Wing (but you could probably say the same for 75% of fighters for me ) Not a bad player like you said, and always excited the crowd to the max. Every time he dropped the gloves the potential was there for a fight of the year.
-
Not the greatest fight, but although i hated Lemieux like the rest of you, there is a redeeming quality about his rematch with McCarty. Maybe cause it turned out to be closer than anyone would have expected, fights where guys come back after getting their ass beat and hold their own even as the monster underdog is something ive always appreciated. This fight is one my favorites because of the history behind it.
-
Yeah thats what i was thinking. Either the wheel part is too big looking or the wing part isnt long enough. Oh well, not many people would probably even notice any difference.
-
Oh, and Rondell White maybe too...another one i'm willing to give you.
-
Guillen we acquired via trade for Ramon Santiago....how did Pudge have an effect on a trade? Magglio's contract was massive for a player coming off a knee injury, we offered significantly more than any other team was willing to offer. Worked out beautifully in the end, but if you think he didnt come here predominantly cause of the money (wasnt Boras his agent too?), i dont know what to say. The Pudge signing opened the door for the Fernando Vina and Troy Percival signings that year....ok i guess i can give you that!

:rotflmao: Im sure somebody will chime in about how cheap it was of Brown, but that was great! I never saw that one.
-
Because i hated Jamie Pushor...gotta post this:

I knew the Kyte fight was coming even before i clicked the link...love that one! In the SJ feed of it you can hear Ray yelling at Kyte when he's down...something to the effect of "Stay down *******!"
-
Yeah, i thought Peat had alot of potential at one point, then he kind of faded off even before he was completely out of the league. When you dont play much its hard to win all your fights though. He was one of my favorites. With regards to Pain train, he'd never have a fight like that. Nobody could withstand more than 3 of his shots before toppling over.
-
You'd think he learned his lesson here.... But he didnt....

A few of my favs have already been shown, but heres another:

As ive always said, there is a better chance for fighting to be abolished than the instigator being removed.
-
For eclipsing the 300 PIM mark tonight, reached the 306 mark thus far in only 51 games in fine fashion too! He's a pure throwback...god bless him. Here's to many more minutes in the box!
-
The league will NEVER abolish the instigator rule, tank that to the bank. The instigator rule is one of the things the fruities like Bettman cant point to to show that although they allow fighting, they have certain rules to somewhat discourage it. Just like the last 5 minute fine/suspension rule, and just like being able to dictate who can and cant play in closing moments by fining coaches and allowing refs to freely throw around unwarranted misconducts at will.

harold, for me you've always been a case of thinking somebody looks like their avatar. For whatever reason ive formed a vision of you looking just like Harold Snepts with a big thick moustache Im reading this like what,..wait, ..harold cant grow a beard??!! Im more of a scruffy fuzz guy , ive never really went passed 2 weeks though to see what it would look like. But i'd have to get a headstart for sure.

Ok, was probably one of the other Karaoke Revolution games then....i lknow Konami has a bunch aside from American Idol. I love those karaoke games, i have like 6 all together. Haha i know all about Take on Me, its on my Singstar 80's i believe. I usually nail the" twoooooooooooooooo" right up until the end of the bar when my voice cracks cause i run out of air! Good times, good times!
-
Ha! I recognize those famous Konami microphones! Playing American Idol were we? (ps im a beast at that game )
-
Well i wouldnt exactly say that. A) We had to overpay for Pudge, he came for the loot B) We had to, what was at the time, drastically overpay for Magglio the following year. Not as if Maggs said hey, i want to play for Detroit cause Pudge is there!I think theres a misconception that Pudge opened the floodgates up so to speak. I dont believe we owe him any thank you. This revival was all about Illitch opening up the vault in order to overpay for guys we needed and Dombrowski striking gold with his moves like trading for Polanco, drafting Verlander and Granderson, etc. Those are the 2 guys we owe it all to (mainly DD).

I count Matt Walker as a light heavy, but yeah, that would be the next best trio.

There is nothing greater than drinking some beers and watching two fighters chatting during a faceoff knowing that theyre gonna go when the puck drops....the anticipation for that 10 seconds is such an adrenaline rush. Man, I wish Minny had a middleweight like Voros playing so he could get involved with Nolan, Phanuef, etc. I guess Villieux vs Smith is a possibilty though... I love the announcer saying "Boogaard has a total disregard of the puck when he's on the ice" ...my kinda player folks!
-
Godard - Boogaard....Godard slips in a disappointment However, next faceoff Simon - Vandermeer! Go to to toe for a spurt with Simon landing some big ones!!!! Im going nuts over here!!!!
-
Patrick Sharp...is that you?
-
Minny dressing Boogaard, Simon, and Fedoruk tonight. Oh...my....god. Not sure theres been a tougher trio in recent memory, even with Fedoruk's issues....we're talking THREE heavyweights! Godard...i hope you're ready! I'd love to see Boogey and Godard go again. LMAO at those Ray clips...especially of the one with him pounding on the fan. Ive always loved Ray, along with May, which explains why i was a huge Sabres fan at one point.
