My facts about when Zetterberg's contract was up were incorrect when i posted that. I thought Z was up after the 07-08 season. I think its do-able now, because like you said, you dont know what will happen with the cap in 2 years. Thats alot of time to work things out too.

You're right, i suddenly have some new hope in getting Smyth! I dont know why i thought he was up after the '08 season. Yeah, i'd definitely give up the loot for him right now! The problem there LW is, if you're giving Smyth 6-7 million, what is going to happen to Zetterberg when you have to re-sign him for the same rate? Can the Wings get away with having 3 forwards getting paid that much? That seems too TB-ish. Thats why, in all likelihood, the re-signing of Datsyuk put the kaibash on Smyth (which is why im still a little irked over that).

I know plenty about the guys on the Ducks and they are no different than the way Iginla plays. He would fit in PERFECTLY on that team actually. See, i look at Crymson and although i dont agree with him at all, he's consistent at least with the type of guys he doesnt want on the team.
