Exactly. This was touched on in the gameday thread. Penner and Perry will continue getting better and better, Getzlaf will turn into a star, Kunitz and McDonald have been around but are not old. On defense, theres Beauchemin who is extremely underrated. Then you have Bobby Ryan, the 2005 #2 overall pick, who lit up the OHL. They have way too much young talent to have a drop off. This team isnt going anywhere.

I hope so too, it really should. The guy certainly made his mark on the season, its not like he was some nobody who didnt contribute anything.

Well i'll take 3 potential great players over 1. Carolina has just as bright a future? Oh come on now! Staal is great i'll give you that, but that is way off the mark. Dont forget about Bobby Ryan, #2 overall pick from 2005.

What, Staal and Cole? We're talkin Perry, Getzlaf (who will be a stud guaranteed), Penner, and also Bobby Ryan waiting in the Wings. Guys like McDonald and Kunitz arent old either. They have a foundation for years of success.

Selanne already said he wants to return. How often does anyone make an offer to a restricted FA? Moen will not leave. This team will not have a drop off next year, too much young talent that hasnt even reached their peak yet.

Yep! I originally thought a 4-0 lead as well, but i switched it to accomodate a May empty netter. I think it'll be 3-0, then like you said Ottawa finally scoring midway in the 3rd. We're on the same page for sure. The Ducks know how to finish,and Ottawa is too deflated now, I'd be shocked if the outcome doesnt appear decided within the first 40 minutes.

Texas said they want an outfielder and young pitcher for Texiera. That outfielder will be 100% be Maybin, so I dont think that deal will happen (nor should it). I remember laughing when someone for the Free Press suggested Thames...yeah like Texas is that stupid.

I also think there is small progress in that area, but not enough to instill any confidence that the trend will continue. At least replace Lang with a North American, and swap Hudler for one. If Sammy could go that'd be nice. With Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Holmstom, Franzen, and Flip up front there is no room for another...

No way. I know nobody likes to hear this but this team needs to put a heavy emphasis on North American players for a while.

Nope not the only one. Im also fine and dandy with Sean at 1st. Seay and Grilli are the two in the pen that i'd like to see pushed out by Gagne and whoever.
