I was checking out some stats and found a guy named Ovandy Suero in Class A Lakeland who has, get this, 39 steals in 42 games! Thats almost as many steals as hits! (45) He's also been caught 9 times. I dont think theres a bigger guarantee in all of sports than this guy running whenever he gets on.

I think its a really slim chance we get Smyth, but, if we somehow do, certain things have to fall in place. One, I believe, is Schneider not being re-signed. I cant really see him getting just 2-3 mill, if its a short term deal like 1 year it'll be 3 and a half. 2 years maybe a little bit less.

You have a good point. But, as unlikely as it seems, lets say that 3.5 mill could be used towards the signing of a Ryan Smyth. That certainly would benefit your powerplay. Or theres also the chance you could acquire somebody in a deal including Jiri Hudler (i know you dont want him traded but just saying). I just dont like forking over that much money for Schneider.

I dont like it. Detroit showed during the playoffs that team defense is what makes them go. Its why they were able to plug a guy like Quincey right in. With that in mind, is Schneider worth all this money he's going to get just for offense? Isnt Kindl supposed to be good offensively? Plus theres still Kronwall if he stays healthy. The money can be better spent on somebody else.

Why is the word "goon" so overused around here? Just because you do some roughhousing does not make you one. Its a term to describe someone who fights and does very little else. The only goon on the Flames was Eric Godard, and he didnt play. The only guys that can be considered goons in this series are McGrattan and Parros, I dont think Shawn Thornton is actually that bad of a player. Whenever i see someone like Pronger called a goon i just shake my head!

The fight I really want to see is my boy May vs Neil. May would probably take it on the chin now since he's old, but it still has the makings of a very entertaining matchup.

Whats going on lately in the UFC is not a good thing imo. St Pierre losing to Serra, Cro Cop losing to Gonzaga, and now Ice Man getting melted has left them with really no dominant fighters in any weight class. Parity like that may be good for other sports but not for fighting ones. You need those marquee seemingly unstoppable names at the top to get people excited when new challengers are thrown their way. Now its just like a big jumbled mess, no one really wants to see Gonzaga/Cotoure headlining a card, or Serra vs anybody at the top. Obviously i know theres nothing the UFC can do since the outcomes arent scripted like wrestling, but this is bad. Anderson Silva is the closest thing right now, but trust me, he will lose in the near future.

Although im obviously rooting for the Ducks, if McGrattan fights Thornton i'll be really hoping for Ottawa to score very soon after to show he had an impact. If this were any other time during the year, I'd say McGrattan would own him but given that he's quite rusty...it'll be probably be a close win for him. If he plays i know i'll be praying for a blowout so we can have a really fun 3rd period!

No. Sorry, but the best team doesnt go down 4-0 in a game where their fates on the line. The attempted comeback showed some heart at the end but it doesnt really matter, it was the Ducks game all along. The better team also doesnt lose a series 4 games to 2. Move on. Or was it 3-0 when the Wings got their first goal....whichever, doesnt matter.

He couldve been trying to cut weight if he was a boxer, like i said its a tool guys use to fully dehydrate themselves so they drop some pounds (water weight) for the weigh-in. But the weight thats lost just returns when you get re-hydrated. Any long term results that you achieve i just think are from all the activities themselves (the running, biking, etc), and have nothing to do with the sauna. Im not trying to sound like an expert though, cause im not. I just really think 1 hour of exercising (lifting weights mainly)when your fully charged is 10x more productive than 20-30 minutes of a pooped in-sauna workout. Either way keep at it and good luck!

SWF- I never thought that theres a point to going in a sauna unless you're in a competition where you need to quickly cut weight. IMO is just seems like youre unnecessarily draining yourself further. All your doing is just sweating off water weight arent you? Weight which will return after you get fully rehydrated naturally. Its not like running where you're physically active, this is just sitting there sweating! So when you think about it, whats really the point? Its kinda like the guy who just does one set of 50 barbell curls just so he can look in the mirror and admire his pumped up arms, all the while really accomplishing nothing but a temporary effect. When people exit a sauner they look more toned so they think its doing something beneficial. EDIT: Oops i read you post again and realized youre actually exercising in the sauna and not just sitting there. But still, my point about the sauna being an unnecessary drain still stands.
