Moen absolutely is a fighter, Neidermayer no. I wish the Wings would take chances with these guys like Moen, get them into the system and try and develop them. Moen wasnt much when the Ducks got him, look at him now. Kills penalties, is part of the checking line, knocks in key goals... But instead, we get guys like Hussey in the minors. Whats the point!

Unless its in the playoffs, Andrew Miller should NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER be in the pen. The Tigers have starting pitching depth in the minors, with guys like Dallas Trahern as well as Miller obviously. Which is why i think the move should be to deal Maroth for pen help, he's going to get pushed out eventually.

I didnt end up ordering it, which im kinda glad about. I watched the Chuck fight today and i wouldve been really let down. Quinton beat him fair and square dont get me wrong, but it was just so anti-climactic. I told everyone i knew, and tried to bet them as well, that Silva would kill Franklin. Silva is very susceptible to losing on the ground though, but any standup first oriented fighter he'll kill in his weight class. I knew Franklin would try and slug it out. I'd actually take Nathan Marquardt to beat Silva via submission, but he's had some boring fights so i know the UFC would probably try and avoid that matchup.

Come on Kp, i was afraid this would happen! What i mean is people saying an enforcer wont work and citing Norton as their example. Brad Norton is a minor league fighter and nothing more, he is what you call a bad, BORING, AHL heavyweight. I cant stress boring enough, he is not a crowd pleaser by any means. Not a representation whatsoever of the impact a good fighter would or wouldnt make. Why he was even on the team to begin was because Holland doesnt know much about fighters.

Theres a big problem with that line of thinking. Think about it, if Giguere is playing really good...why would you even want to go with Howard? And on the flip side, if Giguere's not living up to his 5 mill or whatever contract he'll get...why would any team want to trade for him?

Schneider is the only injury i'll listen to. I mean come on, theres a reason why Bertuzzi didnt have alot of suitors at the deadline. HE WAS AN INJURY RISK! That was the gamble when he was acquired and why he came cheap. He wasnt healthy when he came here. Its like if Hasek had injured his groin, you cant use that as an excuse since that was the gamble when he was signed. And again...can anybody say with a straight face that Kronwall getting hurt again was a shock? How do we know that guys on the Ducks werent banged up as well? I recall numerous times hearing commentators say that Scott Niedermayer didnt appear healthy. Injuries are a part of playoff hockey. Blaming it for the loss, especially in this case, is an excuse.
