Due to the fact that youre mildly retarded, Ill let you believe this. You too. Are these the same Blackhawk trolls with new SN's perhaps? Odd how people living out of state seem to know exactly how things are here. Michigan (Especially the Detroit area) feeling the effects of unemployment and a recession, Detroit has two other pro teams that people go and see (One of which is starting playoffs as well), Tickets are expensive, Gas prices suck (A lot of Wings fans come from the suburbs, not the mostly urban city)... and yes, a little of being spoiled, but thats not the main reason. I mean what is it that you want? Detroit should be compared to cities like Edmonton, VC? Hockey is all they have. Please save the CFL and VC Grizzly retorts. Should we be compared to Nashville, a city that barely even kept their team this year? Times are tough, and people cant do everything they want to do here. Id love to be at every game, but staying home with a house full of friends and a big screen TV saves me Hundreds of dollars that I cant really spend right now. If were so non-supportive for no good reason, drive your asses here and show us how its done or STFU.

So of those 4 million people in the Detroit area, how many could actually come to a game? How many are kids? How many elderly? How many are black? (Not a racist remark, but the fact is they dont make up a huge amount of the hockey fan base) How many dont like sports? How many have late classes or late shifts/night jobs? How many cant afford it? How many prefer to hit the bar and watch? How many like to stay home and watch? Seriously, stop throwing numbers around unless youre going to think your argument through.

Because he did that so often as a Blue Jacket.

WEST: Detroit vs. Nashville 4-1 San Jose vs. Calgary 4-3 Minnesota vs. Colorado 4-2 Anaheim vs. Dallas 4-3 EAST: Montreal vs. Boston 4-0 Pittsburgh vs. Ottawa 4-2 Washington vs. Philadelphia 4-3 New Jersey vs. New York Rangers 4-2 I predict the Habs sweep the Bruins, and that Dallas overcomes the Ducks...I may be reaching though

They are done without Alffie.

The Hawks may "Have our number" lately, but realistically they are a team that is fighting to make the post season and "The Blackhawks season is far from done" is a reach. It's very nearly done, yet they arent dead yet. Agreed. Mongoloid fits much better in this case. Wow, I wish I had a crystal ball like you did. . Did you say the same thing last year too? Are you kidding? This statement is so ridiculous, that it gives anything else you say no credibility. The title of Original Six Team living off of past credibility alone belongs to you. And the Leafs.

Obviously were far less intelligent than you because we don't think Pavel is a god and should be considered for every major award than you do. Try to wrap your mind around this: Lidstrom is the most valuable player to this team. That alone should be enough. Coupled with the fact that there are guys like AO, Luongo, Nabakov and surprisingly even Malkin lately that have absolutely carried their team, and Pavel doesnt even crack the top five. Selke, there is an argument for. Hart, there really isnt and it has nothing to do with Pavel not being a great player.
-
Awesome, now he gets an 8 game rest before the playoffs! Chris simon would be on death row if he had done the exact same thing.
-
Yet Fedorov has won The Selke, and Pavel has not.
-
He is not the best, but he is surely one of them. Takeaways are only a part of that distinction.
-
Hasek has sore back. Ozzie to start tomorrow night.

Luongo has been better and the reason is, he is on a worse team than Nabby, yet has fairly comparable if not better numbers. Luongo's faced about 1000 more shots, given up 13 less goals, pitched 6 shutouts to match Nabby, has a higher sv%, all on a crappier team. He' even more effective in the shootout, allowing the same numbers of goals against on about 20 more shots against than Nabby has. Then again, Nabby has 40 of the sharks 41 wins, while Roberto has 31 of VC's 35. Also, a beter GAA...still, Id take Luongo. Thats just me though -
If any Wing gets a nomination for Selke, it will most likely be Zetterberg IMO, and thats hardly a knock on Datsyuk. A guy like Madden could be the one to beat this year though. On the bright side, we should have a few other nominations: Byng- Dats Norris- Lidstrom (Possibly Rafalski. I know its a stretch, but its not insane to think him deserving.) Jennings- Hasek/Osgood

Beauty as always aflac! Cant wait to see Stuart tonight...and I think he will have a PP assist! Kronwall's been activated off IR too... 3-2 Wings

Until Forsberg pulls his groin taking a shower.

Other than the Sens, weve scored the most goals in the league. 39 more than the Sharks 33 more than the Ducks 33 more than the Canucks 30 more than the Wild 20 more than the Flames 14 more than the Preds 4 more than the Stars So with the exception of Dallas and Nashville, we score just fine compared to the ther potential playoff teams.

About as funny as aids.

And Fedorov was the key to your Stanely Cup dream for this season? LOL
-
We just got Brad Stuart for "Nothing." Happy now??? And Hossa for nothing? Christensen, Esposito, Armstrong, and a 1st are hardly nothing, and all for a possible rental player. Not to mention the 7-8 million hossa will want next year if he stays. Malkin will be wanting the same, if not 8+. Pittsburgh payed for that trade. And what did Holland miss out on? Fedorov and Foote werent coming here to begin with. Our division rival isnt going to help us get stronger. Do you want chris simon here? Me either. Hal Gill and Wade Belak? LOL Brad Richards? We dont need a center, especially one making 8 million a year. He may be the most overpayed player in the league. Also, we dont need to give up a Howard, Flip, Hudler like return to get him. Not worth it. Christian Backman, Andrew Ladd, Matt Cooke, Bryce Salvador, Rob Davidson...nothing exciting there. Lapointe!!! Arent Drake and Mccarty enough as far as retread Wings of yesteryear? Brian Campbell I would have liked, but again salary comes into play, and he is due a big payday this summer. Salei...eh. Id take him for physicalitys sake, but he isnt an impact player. Prospal. He was the player I think we missed out on. He and Dats would have been good together.... So really, the people that did go cheap werent huge deals for the most part, and the rest that didnt werent worth the price for rentals.

Then Boston scores 20 seconds later and the sharks still lose
-
And got shelled the other night... With Labarbera in net, the Wings could score 5+ goals. Pav gets his first. Z gets 2 more. And as always, class act GDT Aflac
-
I agree 100%...Those strikers should have been beaten by the unemployed people who would kill to have their overpaid jobs.
-
I want to say Backstrom, because the kid can play, but he's only played one year. Lehtonen is also 50/50. Great goalie, but he has been up and down. At this point, I'd take Lehtonen if I had to choose.

Check out my first fantasy hockey team this year

C - Pavel Datsyuk C - Nathan Horton Bench - Michael Nylander Pretty solid C's. If Horton finally breaks out, and Nylander plays with AO, youre in good shape. LW - Ilya Kovalchuk LW - Henrik Zetterberg Bench - Paul Stastny 2 studs and 1 question mark. If Stastny plays well againt his year, you are stacked at LW RW - Jaromir Jagr RW - Martin St. Louis Bench - Dustin Penner Penner is iffy, but your top two are studs. D - Dan Boyle D - Tom Poti D - Andrei Markov D - Michal Rozsival Boyle and Markov are in for good seasons again. Poti and Rozsival are decent 3rd and 4th D-men. G - Cristobal Huet G - Chris Osgood Bench - Nicklas Backstrom Not picking a goalie until the 9th left you in trouble. Huet is anything but money, as Halak and maybe ever Price will be waiting for him to slip. Osgood is spare at best. Id look to drop him and pick up Harding to handcuff the Wild goalies. Bacstrom could be your wildcard here. IF he plays well, great pick, although many seem to think that Harding will be the #1 in Mn by mid season. Overall, solid forwards, decent D, but you need some goalie help. especially in ROTO where all cats are weighted equally, your netminders could end up hurting you. -
Because theyre the total sports network? Exactamundo
-
Agreed, although he needs to finally let the kids play more. His hard on for Hudler killed me last year.
