The Palace is horrible. The amount of traffic is crazy going North between 4P.M.-6P.M. on all the metro Detroit streets and expressways and would have to leave at 2-3 P.M. just to make puck drop at 7:30 P.M. Not much walkable areas around the Palace to enjoy before and after the game. Until Metro Detroit get's a commuter rail with a subway system in place, Downtown Detroit is the only place to put any kind of large stadium at.

Some other good places too eat are at Lafayette or American Coney Island. Their specialty are Coney dogs and if you're in Detroit, its a must too try if you never had one. The two are right next door from each other and are rivals from the same family. It's on the triangle part of Michigan ave and Lafayette.

Not sure where the guy's autoshop is at, but the dude has a Red Wings monster truck type limousine that is usually around the Joe during playoffs games. You could try and find it and get a picture with it.

If you sleep on a rubber raft floating in the river, then your in south Detroit. I would love to have fans play like in they do in Europe.

If you walk to the stop outside, no need to get carded as the Greektown people mover stop is inside; but just before you enter the Casino. If you walk inside from the parking, then you will get carded as you would need to walk through the whole Casino to get at the Greektown people mover stop.

I always park at Greektown for free then just pay .50 cents (one way) for the people mover. Over all I spent $1 for round trip.

I don't enjoy watching a defenseman or goalie getting rundown in Olympics. That's how players get hurt. With fighting this would help stop these guys from getting run down because then you got someone who will stand up too the person doing this.
