Damn. I did not want them to score so we didn't have to hear that sucky song.

Crap call?

Igor I will play hockey with you. Come on over.

Yes they did. I really don't care for the show since they pick the awful singers to win and the singers don't make their own songs. But I might give it a second chance with his daughter in it.

I swear I heard the Nashville radio guy pronounced Henrik as Hiendrik. Anyone else listening to the Nashville radio feed?
-
Don't get the channel.

From what I heard even with the prices hiked up, they are still the lowest in the average. Coming out of the mouth Geroge Plaster (Predator fans love him because he is a fan)

Ken hates the revenue sharing (welfare) and thinks if teams can't survive on their own they should not exist. Also said Hockey is a regional sport in the U.S. and you can't put teams in regions that just don't care about hockey.

ESPN 'interested' in British rights to football Premiership: LONDON (AFP) - American sports broadcaster ESPN is "absolutely interested" in the British rights to broadcast English Premier League football matches, its president said Monday. George Bodenheimer's remarks to the Financial Times signal an attempt by the network to increase its audience share in Europe, where its North American Sports Network, which reaches 10 million homes across the continent, will soon be rebranded as ESPN. He described the Premier League as a "fabulous property ... we are absolutely interested" in bidding for its British broadcast rights, which next become available at auction in 2009. A bid for the rights to broadcase the Premier League would likely put ESPN in direct battle with British Sky Broadcasting, which currently owns the rights, having agreed to a 1.3-billion-pound (1.8-billion-euro, 2.6-billion-dollar) three-year-deal in 2006. Bodenheimer said the network, which is 80 percent owned by US broadcaster ABC, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Corporation, wanted to expand because it was "bullish" on its prospects in the United States, where it has long-term deals to broadcast American football, basketball and baseball matches. "We're going to work on getting as local as we can," Bodenheimer told the business daily from Los Angeles. "We want to deliver product (eds: correct) that is relevant in each country. It's a country-by-country approach. We want to be investors wherever the top sports product is." In addition to its interest in Premier League football, ESPN also recently bought the world's largest cricket website Cricinfo and Scrum.com, the largest rugby website. The website acquisitions were "a good way to get started," Bodenheimer said, because "there are lower barriers to entry in setting up a website than if you are setting up a TV business." According to its website, ESPN reaches 93 million homes within the United States, and also broadcasts to 190 countries in 15 languages.

Hopefully Steve Violetta put's in the model like he did with Nashville with the cheap mini plans packeges.

The only good thing about ESPN is people get the channel all across the nation. The only bad thing about ESPN is people won't watch the games that will be on ESPN. Unless you see Zetterberg eating 10,000 hot dogs while on a scoring rush and Babcock is playing poker behind the bench.

That is true. I was shocked to see a lot of empty seats for the Bulls game when I flipped over during the Wings intermissions.

Two questions 1. When was the last time Red Wings gave out multiple prizes evey game that dropped from the roof? 2. Why is the cheapest ticket for a Pistons game $10 and the cheapest one for the Red Wings is $22?

Wild vs. Columbus gameday http://www.startribune.com/sports/wild/12268731.html TV note: Tonight's game will not be televised locally but is available on the NHL Center Ice package. Yup they sure do love their Hockey that they don't put it on TV for the locals to watch.

Nice goals at the end.
