Slows BBQ has great reviews for its bbq food. It's in Corktown right off Michigan Ave. Also in in Corktown, take a car ride over to the train station (Only go during day time) to see a once great piece of architecture. Belle Isle is another great place to visit. Hopefully they have the fountain on. Truly a peaceful thing. Take a ride through the neighborhoods to see some great homes. Boston-Edison District, Indian Village, East English Village, Palmer Woods.

I hope Fox Sports continues in the future for Champions league coverage. I'm loving this. ESPN sucked at it and never aired games in HD nor cared about the pregame shows and such.

There are no problems with Champions League and UEFA CUP games. In fact Moscow hosted the Champions League finals a couple years ago that included two British teams. Moscow even hosted this past Eurovision Song contest which all of Europe competes in.

He should have used “Real Major City.†One that has retail shopping downtown, major chain stores and restaurants all across the city, vibrant neighborhoods, diverse economy, a city that is recognized at a global level, mass transit that connects the city and suburbs together, plus he probably can now go to the airport and take a direct flight back to Slovakia during the offseason without having to fly to some other U.S. city to get on another plane and fly back to Slovakia.

That won't work for Cobo. It's too old and falling apart, needs to be torn down and rebuilt somewhere else in Detroit. The old Corner (Tiger Stadium site) would be a good site for either a new hockey arena or Convention center (W fisher fwy to Bagley st for north and south and East and West from 12 Ave to Trumbll st.) It would help extend the downtown area in the future, plus with an addition of light rail services along Michigan avenue and hopefully in the future with a elevated subway rapid transit system to use Michigan Central station as a Grand Central type Station. It's time for Detroit to step up and become a Major U.S. City.
