Forgive me if I'm wrong as it is awhile back, but wasn't that buffoon an ass/coach of the Bruins while he was still playing?
-
well thats our upgrade sorted!
-
de Haan is apparently in play and the Wings are supposedly very interested in him.
-
Yeah I know, he looks the more ready of the 2 but Libor is 3 years younger and could develop into a more productive D man.
-
Well the Blackhawks have signed one of the other Czech players that the Wings were looking at at the world's, Jan Rutta D signs a one year deal.
-
If Liljegren is still available at #9 we gotta take him, his upside is too great not to pick him. Another theory , could Kenny trade some picks and a player to get another 1st round pick?
-
Larkin was playing big in minutes at the world's, I think he'll be stepping up this year as will AA and thus helping to reducing the Capts mins, which will pay dividends for the Wings next year.

my sleeper pick , HENRI JOKIHARJU

cheers guys, we are talking about Kenny here thou !

Anybody know which player got the best combine results this year? Is there a rock solid dynamo that has surpassed his projected draft # ?

I wouldn't worry about his lack of pull ups. At this point in his career its all about skating and that ain't using his arms as much as his lower body. As he matures he will fill out and the weight room will be his second home! When i enlisted into the Army as a young 17 yr old i only managed 3 pull ups and the target was 5. I recall the PTI telling dont worry kid, we'll sort that out, and true to his word at the end of my training the gym test came and i hit the bar and knocked out 33, so im sure wherever he ends up they will get him beefed up.

Get the spelling right if your trying to be funny Dickie. Funny how a lot of scouts were writing him off due to His skating and now almost all the league are trying To get in on him. Will be intriguing to see where/ if he Gets a NHL contract.

Tats is Slovak and Nosek was FA pick up but I get what you mean . I think a lot of trust is put into what Fischer sees in some of these guys, Nosek and Hronek were both highly touted by Jiri .

The top brass are hot on the Czech C kid too, don't be surprised if they take him, Necas.
-
So he's being sort after now league wide ?
-
I started a thread on him a few weeks ago and it met a Luke warm reception.

The Anaheim Ducks and assistant coach Paul MacLean agreed to mutually part ways after two seasons. Have we filled the assistant coaches position yet?

I've seen that Dallas are open to discussing trading their 1st round pick and by some sort miracle Kenny may be in on it? has anyone else heard this or can confirm otherwise, if true makes me wonder who we have got our eye on?

Targets for the Wings is what it states, any player could be a target not just the top echelon players, and lets face it we are not in a position at present to entice elite type players. I mentioned Anderson earlier as he is an interesting proposition. The Jax are going to have to make some calls and his name came up as a potential candidate. In my opinion and that's all it is, I see him as an upgrade in our bottom 6 as it is and his size and abrasive play would be a welcome addition. Would our top brass consider it or will they go along their usual path and get in a gritty type vet ? Thus nullifying any suggestions of one of our AHL youngsters coming up not named Nosek. Although I have seen that Svechnikov is listed on next year's Wings roster by Elite prospects ?! Do they know something we don't ?

The bottom line on this is that the Wings drafting echelon used a first round pick to acquire in theory a bottom 6 / checking forward (supposedly) which we had plenty of at the time. They were hoping for a top 6 power forward which he hasn't panned out to be up till now. Maybe moving him up to play his projected role could help, alongside Larkin and Mantha is an interesting proposition. I'm in the minority here but I believe that Nosek will be a solid 4th C for the Wings next season which could make Glendening surplus but then I would say the contract He has would suggest otherwise. Going to be an interesting few weeks but we will have some movement on the upcoming roster that's for sure.

So sorry folks, forgot to put a ? at then end of my sentence above. Columbus are in a tight spot with their cap and may have to let one of two players go , Wennberg and Anderson are both RFA who will want a raise. Out of the pair I'm guessing that they focus on Wennberg. I can see the Wings kicking tyres on Anderson as Sheahans replacement. Riley is prime for being a piece in a trade to get that D we require. One of our N/M Sheahan a young D/or prospect plus 2nd round pick for Trouba and Copp. That's my (hopeful) scenario.

Josh Anderson on Wings radar

I'd take Shattenkirk if Green was moved , much the same player except age of course.

He was on the team for 5 seasons actually and did the job he was asked to do. I think what DD is trying to say is that he had a very good support ing cast whilst a RedWing and when he left to go to the Leafs and then the Jax he's limitations were exposed.
