why have we called up Pulks to sit him on the 4th line? less the 5 mins toi in 2 periods and no pp time ?

Unless Kenny is prepared to go all in for a blockbuster deal, its looking more than likely that we'll go with what we have. But unlike last year i feel more comfortable with that. Marchenko has come in and thrown a spanner in the works with his play. Babs, although really wanting a RH q/b on the blueline, has a RH shot in Alexy, who will im sure go on to be even better. Alexy and Q as next years bottom pairing bodes well for the Wings. I dont see us doing anything else apart trying to land Petry but im hearing he injured? Kindl Andersson Ferraro for Petry and Gazdic?

Howard's brutal rebounds cost the Wings tonight, it's an area he's always had problems with and hasn't seemed to improved this over the years. His playing the puck is also somewhat below par for an NHL level N/M as well. Hopefully he'll get his act together because you know darn well he ain't getting moved or demoted by the head office anytime soon.

With the Wings scoring 2 or less in 9 of their last 11 games surely its worth calling up the Finnish finisher? We are creating enough scoring chances in games but most are falling to the wrong guys. Apart from the jnr euro twins who are on course for 30+ goal season's only Pav is likely to break the 20 goal barrier. The defensive game Babs seems to be fixed on isnt helping and when you look at our forward talent it seems to be stifling their output. A lethal right handed shot from the point on the pp and in general play is what this team is crying out for, we have one ( maybe more ) primed and ready to go in Grand Rapids. Kenny, give the young Finn a decent run in the team and see what he can do, if anything itll give the opposing netminder something to think about.

well whatever some might think of Andy he has racked up 150 games for the Wings so he must be doing something right in the eyes of those that matter at headoffice.

Jagr and Zidlicky would be a more likely Kenny move but I'm sure he's been quoted that he's not doing a rental deal. So maybe we could be surprised by him, I have a strange feeling that we could lose Ouellet in a deal thou.

Mike Green and Ovie in a blockbuster deal ? Ok maybe just Green but I do think that Kenny will do something this year.

i think Kenny has stated that if he makes a trade itll be big and not a rental. they want someone who'll be part of the set up for 3-5 years and not gone at the end of the play offs. Zidlicky 5 years ago yes but not now.

could be a good signing, a RH r/w with a scoring touch and an edge to his game. 6'2" 210lb not a bad size either. plus he has connections with the Wings, his grandfather played on the Wings D in the late 60's.

I think he maybe was just doing the safest and easiest plays out there. If he gets the same amount of games that XO has played I think you'll see him become more comfortable within the system and express himself more. Made a nice play leading to Smith's gw goal would love both him and XO up but they need to move Kindl and I don't think there's many takers on that contract.

Trade coming up, Sabres have been scouting Griffs games lately, Myers inbound methinks but who do they want ? Would we give up Pulks and Ouellett for him thou? Lash is odd man out and will be back in GR can't see anyone claiming him.
