I have noticed that the recent goals that Pav has scored he has been some what animated in celebrating them, which is very unusual for him. Are we seeing some passion by the quite man and realisation that the Wings are in a tight spot for that 8th position. I for one like to see it and I hope that his teamates have noticed it and start to play off his emotion. Way to go Pav, just 6 more for your 200, lets hope he can hit that landmark before the end of this reg season.

This series will end up the same as Sundays score 4-2 Phoenix, im afraid the Wings just aint good enough this year. Not enough scoring depth and the D just aint consistent enough.

Now the Griffins have been elimenated from the playoffs will they give some ice time to Wong Ferraro and Coetzee? I see Lashoff played last night and started where he left off last year with a +1 and an assist.

Travis, is Lashoff going to be on the roster next year or has he another year in the jnrs? His stats with the Griffs are pretty good to say the least.

is he eligable to get a try out with the Griffins for the rest of the regular season? I know Maine are out of the NCAA playoffs, just thought the Wings may want a look at him at AHL level hockey.

the thing i like is that he was the Petes C and after a couple of season's within the Griffs he has the C on his shirt again. Will he get alook with the Wings? or will he be another Matt Ellis, just not the right fit for the Wings but def a 3/4 liner on another team.

I wouldn't call repeatdly cross checking a player in the back,“ a couple guys battling at the end." would you guys? Superstar or not Crosby is gunna get a payback soon by a guy not bothered about Sids rep or a suspension. Your a great player Sid but when you get owned in a game show some class by respecting the player who has outplayed you, instead of behaving like a spoiled brat. With all the moaning and groaning after the dropped point at Edmonton, the boys pull one out of the hat and win in Vancouver, and throughly deserved to. So a 5pt return from the road trip will do for me. Now we have 7 of the last 11 games at the Joe, and the ball is in our court again. Pity we aint in the East as we would be safe now!! I think these high intensity remaining games will do us good for the playoffs should we make it and hopefully we will. Here's a scenario not many have suggested on here, both the Flames and us make the post season and the Avs fall away into 9th spot. They have LAx3 San Jose x2 Ducks x2 and all their remaining 12 games against West conf teams. Could be a real tight finish, if they lose in Anaheim tonight they'll be just 3pts ahead in 7th spot.

you got to ask the question as to why Oz goes from his post season form to his reg season form with such a dip in standards? we haven't got the depth on the roster to let Oz play himself into a groove, he isn't playing for a reason and Babs and Holland know they can't take a chance on him taking 5-8 games to get into game shape. We wouldn't be in the running for 8th spot if he didn't start to perform straight away. Howard has been lucky in some games not to let in more than he did, but hey you make your own luck. He is getting it done and its Babs call, after all its Babs job on the line if the Wings don't make the post season, what would any of you do? Oz will be doing the +- stats for me for the next 6 games at least.

With Rissmiller now out for the season, are GR planning on calling up one of the Wings prospects for a few games or are all the Wings prospects teams in their playoffs? Would like to see Ferraro play some games in GR to see where he's at.

yeah i know but the fact some fans forget is these were both 1st rounders, with high hopes from our scouting ranks. If you think what might have been, consider Kocur, 17th overall in '88 and the Wings 2nd pick Serge Anglehart 38th overall, 3rd pick 47th Guy Dupuis and 4th pick 59th Petr Hrbek none of them played a game in the NHL, 2 forwards and two D. Hindsight is a great thing but look who our guys passed over for these that year. 67th overall Pitts F Mark Recchi 68th overall NYR F Tony Amonte 70th overall LA D Rob Blake 76th overall Buff D Keith Carney now that would have been better all of these played over 1000 games in the show. But for me the biggest sickner was overlooking 2 forwards who went 89th and 129th messr's Mogilny and Kamensky!! Now our scouting system hasn't always been as good as it is at present.
