With Dallas out of the playoffs, did the Griffs include Landon on their roster for the playoffs. I hope so as I feel he would be a big boost and bring some much needed veteran leadership to a very young Griffins roster.

The big plus side from Leino's standpoint is that when on the Wings roster he put up points on all the lines he was put on. Correct me if I'm wrong but i do believe he saw ice time on all 4 lines. What we ideally need is someone to take on the role that Dallas provided last year. In all intents Kops hasn't done it reguarly enough and for my money although rookie he is Abs would do a better job in the wrecking ball stakes than Kops will. Just my opinion mind.

Both of them are just 4 points away from some milestones. With 3 games left Lids needs 4pts to reach 1000pts overall and Dats needs the same to hit 100pt for the season. At the current rate they are going both should hit their said targets. Would be great if they could do it in the same game off the same play, now that would be spooky!! And an omen maybe?

Red Wings prospect Justin Abdelkader has been talked about all year as a top pick for the rookie of the year and with his blistering start to the season rightly so. But a certain Mr Pare for me has been more impressive. Francis is just 3 points behind Justin with 46 but has done this having played 13 games less. Pare has been more consistent than Justin and his team leading +20 so far is good enough for 4th overall in all rookies, as well as a team leading mark for the Griffs. With his points per game 3rd overall in the rookie charts and his pims least for the top 20 scoring rookies, could we have another gem in the system (if the Wings sign him) that has been passed over by the other scouting teams. In context, Justin has been playing in all situations more so than Francis, so maybe this has helped Pare stats more, but at the end of the day I feel that the Griffins have 2 stand out candidates this year and not just the one.

With just 11 reg games left for the Wings can Dats get the 13pts he needs to hit the landmark for the first time in his career as a Wing. If he carrys on at his current rate he should, I know figures and stats don't mean everything but it would be great for him and also for the wings.We haven't had a player hit 100 since Feds got 107pts in the 1995-96 season. mainly this is due to the overall team style 4 line hockey the Wings play, so for a player to do it now would be a great fete. Fingers crossed, he came so close last year to doing it.

If your looking for new Russian talent for the draft this year heres 3 I think will be worth picking. Maxim Kitsyn, Vladimir Tarasenko and Nikita Klyukin. Also Maxim Trunev is a good prospect. Someone who the Blues picked in '02 is available i think, Andrei Mikhnov 6'6" 220lb LW. Big grinding 4th line type.

Well the proof is in the stats I suppose, in the leading Fighting Major pen takers only 3 players in the top 100 are European, Raitis Ivanans is 32nd, David Koci is 53 rd and rookie Boris Valabik lies in 82nd. Only Ivanans and Koci would i consider as enforcer types although Big Boris is no mug, he can play a bit too thou. I say we go all out to sign Big George in the off season, just to shut up all the Cherryboys out there. I mean the last game the fella played in the NHL (only one) was back in '55 and he hasn't coached in it for nearly 30. The guy is outta touch and is only on for his way out remarks and stupid attire. Our PP unit is top of the league by 3%, yes 3%!! 27.3% with the Caps next on 24.3%. 82 PP goals so far, and lets be honest if it wasn't for our PP I hate to think where we would be in the standings. Everything could be better with our current play, my concern at present is letting them in. We are 21st overall when a man down, but more worrying, esp with the playoffs coming up and the amount of OT games that occur is that we are a league worse 30th when 4 on 4 ! Oh and as for the 5 on 3 brutal, 5th best in the league is brutal? Good job your're not rooting for Phoenix.

has anyone stopped to think that certain players have assumed the worse themselves? just maybe some of our roster players realise that Kenny signing either/both Mule and Hos means they are gone next year. This may be a factor into certain players performance over the past few games since the deadline week. Hudler has 1 pt in the last 8 games, Sammy hasn't trubled the stat sheet in 10 games, Flip has 3 pts in the last 8 games and Maltby 2 pts in 10, but I doubt he's tradeable. The 3 guys that we hear mention in trade talk have all slumped off lately, coincidence or not they aren't themselves just recently. This in turn is gunna hurt us down the stretch and in the postseason if its not sorted quickly. Lets be honest here, this could be our 3rd line come the playoffs and we'll need them playing to their potential, its good enough for most teams 2nd line!!

Well although this kid is only 5'10" and 185LB, the Wings high brass are really impressed by his rookie AHL season. Not signed to a Wings contract, I think this will be changed in the summer. After playing 48 games for GR to date he has 20+20 and a team high +18 rating. Def a high skilled forward that looks after both ends of the ice. Watch this space....

So when do we have a look at Larsson? Howard ain't gunna cut it, maybe Kenny will be in the mkt for nm come summer after all, blame the D all you want, be we continually outshot the other teams a win games by odd goals to often.
