Yep thats the one i use this side of the pond. -
Well whatever he is doing is working for him. He has impressive stats at his new team after really not doing much since the Wings drafted him. He has played 29 games for his new side and has 11+ 8 and a team leading +13 plus minus rating. He has size at 6' 4" and I think he is now listed at 203LB so is bulking out a little. Still feel he is a long shot, but you never know.

do you ever get the feeling that we aint gunna score even if we stayed out there all night!!

Could the Wings do a big deal with the Panthers. Horton, Bouwmeester and Booth for ?
-
Don't worry buddy you won't (unless the front office lose the plot come trade time)

To all my fellow Wings fans from the other side of the pond. Here's to a great 2009.

Dear Babs, alot of LGW fans are getting restless by the fall in production of Z and Hoss. Could you please put them on Pasha's line for a few games just to kick start them off. I'm sure the all Swedish line of Sammy Mule and Homer can hold their own and this would enable the Griffs alumi line of Rex Flip and Kops to be re-united. Of course by doing this may cause unrest amongst the pro NA fans as it would see no Canadians on the top 3 lines. I'm sure that Drapes Dan and Malts would excel on the grinding 4th line spots left.

As if we need another reason to want to crush San Jose

can't reason why babs has tampered with the fwd lines. Surely it was just a case of Cheli in for Lids? 2nd and 3rd goals were caused by us not clearing the zone thou, any of our guys know how to lift the freeking puck!!! Two clearance's straight on an Avs stick. And to answer the guy about the Caps fans and how they came back from 4 zip to win. WE HAVEN'T GOT OVECHKIN PLAYING FOR US !! We'll do well to keep within 2 of the Avs, in fact i'd settle for a 4-2 loss at present, cause I fear the worst the way we are playing -

I feel a Hossa and Pasha show coming on................... -
With Landon filling in well for Stars C Morrow who will be out long term, the chances of him staying in Dallas look good. Will the Wings send down Darren once he comes off IR's? Although he may not put up the numbers that Wilson has for the Griffs I feel his presence in the locker room will help them no end. Abdelkader could learn alot by centering a line with MaCarty and Downey as his wingmen!

i think the orginal poster stated that this was a fun topic and not to get involved with cap issue's as such folks. In any case if Kenny wanted to get some cap space to keep all his star forwards, whats to stop him trading Rafalski bringing up Ericsson and getting a $5m cap release in one move? There are other options to the overall plan.

With both Stafford and Ericsson out and now PJ Atherton sidelined, the Griffs played Oulahen on the D last night. Would it not be possable for the Wings to send Meech or Chelios down to help out for a few games until one of them returns to the lineup or would they have to clear waivers to do so? Apart from that it would give Cheli a few more games to get up to game shape or give Meech some major mins on the D which would benefit him as well. Didn't know the ruling on this as well as I do the Wings calling up a Griffin one.

I watched the game over here live and after seeing various replays the puck did seem to hit the lower part of the stick shaft, which was in line or just below the crossbar. Sid's hand and upper part of his stick were above the crossbar level as he stated. Anyway poor old Sid hadn't scored for 9 games so was due some luck!!

Which player in the NHL would wanna play for detroit the most?
Andy Pred 48 replied to a topic in General
Brian Rolston ( Flint ) David Legwand ( Detroit ) is he a C&W fan or what? Why stay in Nashville? Mark Mitera ( Royal Oak ) rookie I know but has the same b'day as me! Jim Slater ( Petosky ) David Moss ( Livonia ) he's a Wing, remember the miss in the playoffs last year? Tim Gleason ( Clawson ) Madano anyone? David Booth ( Detroit ) You can go on and on, but I would plump for Moss and Booth. Both have a bit of size and can put some numbers up. -
With Hos, Z, Huds and Mule all on course to hit over the 30 mark with Hos likely to top the 40 goal. When was the last time the Wings had 4 guys all score over 30 in the same season and who were they? Cheers.

Most people on here realize that Kyle wouldn't have been playing on the top 4 in Detroit and nowhere near the mins he is being given in LA. Hindsight is a great thing and it is all very well saying look at him now. End of the day is, that the kid was torn in staying and going to SoCal, he knew that he was heading back to GR if no one picked him up. I would say he may have been happy to do so just to stay in the Wings system. Yet he has started a new career with albeit a bottom feeder (at present) and he is flourishing in his new role. The kid is leading all D at LA in pts and +-, he is second on the team overall in +- and TOI. LA have gotten lucky by picking him up and so has he to the extent it has given him regular games in the NHL. I hope he continues to do well and keep's his current ratio going. Because if he does, he'll end the year with over 50pts and a +25 +-, now that would be an eye opener for all and sundry.

Well done to the Griffs with the win in Iowa last night. Having lost 4 in a row it was important for Curt to get the lads back in winning ways before a trend set in. One thing I did notice thou, is Big Rig injured or was he just a healthy scratch for the game? I know that Curt is rotating his D corps but Ericsson had been an ever present if im not mistaken.
