Chris Neil may have helped. But, I mean. If they want to be a bunch of coward goons, let 'em. You've just awaken a sleeping giant, my friend. Pavel Datsyuk breaks out his playoff year in Game 7.

WCSF GAME 6 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Ducks 2
Captain_Yzerman19 replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
I am extremely pumped up for this game. Let's do this thaaaaaaaaaang. -
I'm only going to say one thing, because I in no way want to look ahead. But I look at that .896 save percentage of his and I salivate at the opportunity.

Epic thread! Let's Go Wings!

Helm definitely is a big time player. Very nice that he is on our side and not someone else's.

I LOVE the guy on the left.

If memory serves correct, it was a goal, but it was waved off and Homer got called for interference.

I just went to see what you were talking about. And then it pops up. I go "Oh, s***!" followed by 2 minutes of non-stop laughter. "Hi, Red Wing fans!"

I'm thinking each series goes atleast six, with Carolina/Boston as of now having the best shot not to do that with Carolina at home and able to go up 3-1. And then possibly squeak one out on the road. However I think Boston would win that game as well. Whoever wins tonight wins the series in that one in my mind.

This has nothing to do with NBC. They are showing The Players Championship this weekend, and so no hockey.

Since we are trying to get revenge on the Ducks, how does this sound for optimism? We lead 2-1 heading into game four in 2007. Anaheim won three straight. Now we're down 2-1, looking to win three.

Where do you find information like this, if I may ask?

So, Watson was moving towards the goal, and blew the whistle because he lost sight of the puck. Fine, that happens all the time. Except, explain this to me, Mr. McGuire. The puck went in BEFORE Watson blew his whistle. So, what you are telling me, is that Watson didn't see the puck, even though he was moving towards the goal, and saw the puck go in the net while he blew his whistle. Now, I think we can come to the conclusion, Mr. McGuire. That with Jonas Hiller spread-eagle doing the splits, there is absolutely no way he could have covered the puck. So, how could Brad Watson not see the puck.

Any single shot now is going to either see the Sharks hang around for a Sixth Game, or see them eliminated.

Gary Thorne is definitely one of my favourite broadcasters out there, but I absolutely adore Doc Emrick. When he starts getting excited, he talks so fast and his words seem like one long word. Prime example on this Samuelsson goal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKnNci9iAI0

I voted for Franzen's against Montreal. It was between that, Hossa or Franzen's last one.
-
I could careless what anyone says, but just to weigh-in... I think that until the Sharks prove they can play ball in the playoffs, the Wings should be #1 Favourite.
-
Well, the best thing possible for us losing tonight would be Vancouver winning in regulation. Hopefully they can come up big. 10 minutes left

So, can you then explain to me how Ozzy is in his worst season as a pro, when the Red Wings themselves are tied for first in the West? Osgood never missed the playoffs when he was with the Islanders and Blues. Can you explain that too, because we both know neither team was 'great' in those three years. Maybe you can help explain why Hasek was 2-2, and on the verge of probably losing a series, while Osgood suddenly steps in and whips off 8 wins in a row? Maybe you could explain his .930 Save Percentage in the 2008 playoffs, or his many key and clutch stops. No, you can't explain any of that, can you.

Babcock Begins To Reveal Playoff Lines

Samuelsson will play. He's scored some clutch playoff goals that we can always use. -
I'm fine. I went in expecting maybe a Chris Neil type player at the most. Overall, the day was mellow league wide. From a standpoint of excitement league wide, this was just a very disappointing deadline day. The media hyped it up, and it crashed hard.
