When I was in my first two years of med school I got addicted to Red Bull. It became so bad that I needed one in the morning and one at lunch just to maintain normal consciousness. I went home in between semesters once and tried to detox and had these massive headaches. It was horrific. Now I try to avoid caffeine. To be honest, it's about will power. My passion for medicine supercedes my circadian rhythym.
