I never understand the high praise he always gets. To me whenever i see him on the ice he is usually turning the puck over or comming very close to a turn over. Im not saying he sucks or anything but the media act like he is captain Nick sometimes.

Give me a break can you imagine where the Red Wings would be without Datsyuk? Think about it he spent most the year playing with Leino, Bertuzzi and Holmerstrom. Leino is garbage. I love Betruzzi but he has only come on lately and Holmerstom has been good. Its not like hes playing with Franzen or Zetterberg all year.

No way Datsyuk is awesome even though he goes through streaks where he does not score. If the Red Wings could get rid of anyone it should be Rafalski. Rafalski is making 6 million a year and I do not think anyone would say he is worth that. Just think of the kind of goalie the Red Wings could have for 6 million a year.

Put it in Marquette or Traverse City so people up north can go more often. Sure the population is low there but the stands will be full.

Nick is good and all but maybe Draper should have been made captain. If you want the C Zetterberg maybe take some notes.

For anyone watching NHL live Kevin Weeks just said the Red Wings get favorable calls other teams do not get. I find it funny how many calls that were not made during the cup finals. I think the Pens get more calls than the Wings since Crosby is the nhl's baby. Just though Id share that.

Maybe he should focus on not taking penalties costing the rangers playoff series and less time focusing on the opponents coach's weight.

As much as it sucks not being able to watch the Versus games. With center ice I barely ever found myself watching versus games anyways.

Yeah Bertuzzi messed up. Sucks really bad that Moore ended up getting the short end of the stick so bad but its done. I dont even remember what I was even going to say about this now.

Im trying to remember the 05/06 lineup. That was the first hockey season I had fsn detroit and I watched every game. Im trying to make that team on nhl 09 but I will have to create a few people like Fischer and the Captain. Iv been searching online and havent found it yet. They have the players and stats here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005%E2%80%93...ed_Wings_season but I would like to know if anyone remember sort of what the lines were. I know they end up changing here and there but anyone thoughts would be appreciated. For some reason I love that season even thought the playoff loss sucked bit time. I remember the Wings trailing Nashville for a while and the passed them around March I think and never looked back.

lets not forget I belive Conks had more wins than ozzy and a better goals against last year. maybe im pessimistic but if Ozzie is the main guy for a full regular season I dont think it will be a good thing. Hopefully I am wrong.
