Time warp: 2001, wings lose in 6, give up 2-0 lead
detroitdan replied to WingedWheelin06's topic in General
I am a bit concerned, but I still think the Wings win this series, mainly because of the home ice. Detroit dominated at home, and even though Calgary won both of their home games, they didn't exactly run away with the games. The Wings could have swept this one. Games 3 and 4 were both 3-2 Flames victories. I think we're in good shape. We were up 2-0 on Nashville in 2004 and they tied it up and then we won two straight. We'll be fine. -
Pre-GAME 4: (4/19) Red Wings @ Flames - 9:30 PM EDT
detroitdan replied to Must Kill's topic in General
I'm watching the pregame on CBC's website and I think I saw Hudler on the ice...wonder if he's actually playing or just taking the warm up...maybe they got Sammy out of there -
ain't gonna be no back-to-back
-
the scheduling throughout the entire first round has been ridiculous...it's too bad the NHL has to give in to the networks...there should be 4 games one night, 4 the next and so one...no 3 day breaks and no back-to-back games, it would be more fair for all the teams
-
Markov has to stay out of the box...those penalties killed us. I would have been extremely surprised if the Wings had swept this series, and winning in 5 lets them do it at home on Saturday...Calgary is a tough place to play but if everyone plays with the energy Cleary had last night we'll win the next two games
-
if Cleary's elbow was a cheapshot you obviously missed Phaneuf's blatant elbow to Datsyuk's head in game 2, he should have been tossed for that one
-
man I hate Iginla
-
as long as they win, I wouldn't care if the sat Dats or Hank...doesn't matter who's on the ice as long as it's a Wings victory
-
NHL.com just had a report up saying that Bert will not be playing tomorrow afternoon, hoping to have him in the lineup for Tuesday night in Calgary
-
I'd sit Hudler...I thought Sammy was good on the PP and Cleary had a lot of energy...tough call but I'd sit Hudler if I was Babs
-
on After 40 minutes during the Sens-Pens game on CBC Drew Remenda said that the Wings aren't sure if Bertuzzi will be in tomorrow, it'll be decided tomorrow

Leetch is the only American Smythe winner, Lidstrom the only European one
-
if I was in Detroit, I wouldn't care about paying the $63, I'd go to every game I could...I wish I was up there right now
-
Ryder and Cleary on the Wings? they would be Newfoundland's favourite team then for sure...I'd LOVE to see it happen but I don't know who they'd get rid of to make it possible...something to think about though in the offseason...Ryder has been pretty solid in his few years in the league
-
has to be his re-signing I think...he can still play...he should be around for a few more years I think
-
I've listened to Hey, Hey, Hockeytown almost everyday for the last week...the song is kind of corny but it gets me excited...I love it
-
I don't know or care how many games it will take, but the Wings will win this series and the Cup...they are due...5 years since the last Stanley Cup is too long in my opinion
-
I have an exam Monday morning but the rest of the times are pretty good for me...I can't wait for this...I want revenge for 2004 so bad
-
I'm assuming it'll be next Wednesday or Thursday...a lot of it will have to do with the television broadcasting
-
everyone saying that we will be like Tampa Bay when we have to re-sign Hank in 2 years time is forgetting the fact that the cap went up this year, is going to go up next year, and should go up in the forseeable future...they will be fine...and I don't think Bertuzzi is going to get $5 million again, unless he wins the Conn Smythe (which I would be happy with since we'd win the Cup in that scenario)...I think all 3 of those guys, Dats, Hank and Bert, will be Red Wings for many years to come

my roommate is a Habs fan...go Leafs go

Rangers vs. Kings...this would be the dream scenario for the NHL
