He is a solid hockey player. Big, strong, nose for the net, wins battles, can play all three positions up front. We have another gem if you will.

This is great. We all saw it coming but its awesome. They are the best two way players in the NHL and I would not want anyone in the league over these two. Interesting to see who this one goes to.

Getzlaf led the team in scoring in the playoffs and Perry was tied for second. Without those two things could have been quite different. I dont care for Murray much but the man played a role in the eventual success of the Anaheim organization. So for you to say that you dont think that he did anything good for them is highly questionable.

So drafting Getzlaf and Perry and signing Kunitz as an undrafted free agent does not count as something good for the organization?

Great GDT as always aflac. I say the Wings win again today, I dont care how they do it but just that they do. Also, I hope the Wings, certain ones especially, welcome Legwand back with a few good hits.

He should have hit him even harder if you ask me. Smithson also ran Drapes, who did not even play the puck (as seen above). Its hockey, its going to happen. Was Kronner dirty? No. Was Smithson dirty? No. End of story.

I have not read the whole thread but when do the Wings play on the 12th? Is it an afternoon affair because of NBC or will it be at 7? I am not too sure if the Wings even know this yet but hey, just wonderin... My prediction as biased as it is, could well be true. Wings in 4 or 5 max.

Kopecky injured his knee tonight and might be out for a while. This is not good news at all, he is a big body who we will need in the playoffs. Hopefully he is alright. MLive

He'll be signed alright. Woo! We will need him too as Kopy and Malts are both going to be out.

WOOO! I am FOND of Justin Abdelkader! Hopefully Malts is fine, I would have liked Abdelkader's debut to come under better circumstances but hey, I am happy to see him up. I also hope a deal is not reached by Saturday, he and Michigan State have a title to defend!
