As you guys know, I am all for bringing Yashin to Detroit. But this is one of the reasons that the dude's image is tarnished. Stupid statements as such. Sure, you can have that in the back of your mind, but why would you come out say something like that to the media? Ignorance. There is also a reason that the offers that are being sent his way are as low as they are. I would love for him to be a Wing but at the end of the day, I see him going back to Russia to play.

Yes, it was somewhat of a fore gone conclusion that we would do everything in our power to retain Z when his contract is up. But hearing this from Zetts, is very comforting. We know that he wants to commit to us forever. Oh, and what Stevie says, happens.

Yashin. I become more intruiged by him each day. I kind of want to see him as a Wing....but at the same time I know its WRONG to think about signing such a malignant man who is worse off than Langer was. Lets just say the thought of Yashin as a Wing is my guilty pleasure in a sense. He should play for free, he's already getting UNDESERVED money from the Isles. Forgive me for these foolish thoughts of mine guys.
