Lang- He can go, but not because he re-directed a shot past our goalie. Maltby- Seen better days, a Holland favourite and he will probably play for less. Schneider- We do not have money to sign Souray in the off season and pay Dats and Bert and such. Draper- Has a no trade clause and he is pleased about being a Red Wing. The Leafs re-signed Tucker for a reason; he is a part of their bleek future. Osgood- He is a good backup who is capable of starting or splitting time. Hasek would NOT split time with Howard and be a mentor like Ozzie can and will likely be.

Yes I saw the playoffs and I saw him in the playoffs in years past. Yes, he shows up. He is also overpaid. If there is anyone on this board who likes Lang, its me, and I say we should let him walk. Big, strong, puck protector= Todd Bertuzzi. Bert is more likely to be re-signed than Lang. If Lang wants to play for 2mil (max) I would be pleased to have him. To say who cares what your second line centre does during the regular season is just flat out stupid.

We all talk about this supposed upgrade, who would it be? Frankly if we could keep Schneider for around 2.5-7 million then why not? He has expressed no desire to leave Detroit. He is a key part of our pp and even though he is a defensive liability most of the time he still has a plus rating. All in all, it depends on his price come June, if he wants to take a cut then he can stay, if not, good luck to which ever NY team he ends up with.

I agree with you. Dats, Red and Filppula have been awesome. I am not crying about losing games. Frankly, it is not a big deal at all. We lost four in a row and we can still finish first in the West and possibly the NHL. I understand. I think/hope we will be the Red Wings of three weeks ago when Zetts is back. Hopefully we can get back to playing hard like we should be doing. But what I am saying is that I want us to play Dallas in the playoffs because Turco has not played well against us. He has one win I think. So if we are the team we should be in the playoffs and Dallas plays like they did against Phoenix, I think we would win.
