Legace says: Here you go Ryan! (Puts the puck on Smyth's stick behind the net)

Who was excited to play the Oilers in 2006? They played the Wings very well that year and no number one seed wants to play a team that has surged to get into the playoffs (like the Oilers did in 2006).
-
San Jose or Chicago.
-
I am all for Huds coming back!
-
Yeah, that may be true of Kopecky but he never impressed in the NHL (in any form) like Abs has. The name Abdelkader is of Arab origin, I would have guessed German or the like.
-
Haha probably. It does feel like the house burned down.
-
I agree with you, put Meech in! (I just wondered why you would say Lebda and Lils got it done and then replace Lebda). Gotcha.
-
It is a shame too. I would welcome a guy like Staios any day but for obvious reasons, cannot be done.
-
I am in favour of Meech over Lebda but based on your analysis, why not Lilja and Lebda? Seeing as to how they got it done in 2008.
-
2 more words- salary cap. Also, Staios has another year left on his contract. But even so, I would rather him than Lebda any day.

Boynton to Chicago for futures. -
Who knows why. But I doubt anyone will claim a guy who has missed an entire year with a hip injury.

How many packages of gum does Babcock go through in a game?
superstarsingh replied to RedWingsRox's topic in General
Haha I am glad you guys also picked up on this. I am certain that one game last year he was chewing Juicy Fruit (package was yellow). That would explain why he chews so many pieces, that stuff seems to disintegrate in your mouth. -
I respect the hockey player. I hate the person and actions that go along with him.

A very intersting article I found regarding Filppula and 09 Finals

Haha yes. I apologize. I am just outraged at the writer for essentially blaming the loss in the SCF on Flip. I am grateful for Flip. He is a solid hockey player, he always has been. This season he is showing that he can be a bonafide second line centreman. He's the poor man's Zetterberg and I for one am happy with that (partially because the real Zetterberg is a Wings as well). I would not say that his play was poor last June. A player's game cannot be judged on scoring chances. -

Yep. Trade him. It was his responsibility to shut Malkin down and his alone....IGNORANCE. -
Yep, they are going on his age and that he may have some upside left. Even so, 3.5 for him is a gross over payment. He is just there. You could watch several games in which he plays, and not notice him. Commodore sort of merits a contract like this more so than Stajan. Commodore is, or was great at what he did. He can shut guys down and hit. He also won a Cup so I guess you could argue that he knows what it takes to win. Commodore sort of reminds me of Stuart (upon circumstance).
-
Lets hope that they get rolling tonight and string together some wins! GO WINGS! I am feeling a 3-2 win.
-
Yikes. That is a lot of money for Stajan. I am with mmamolo on this one, too much for a third liner. Living in Toronto, I have seen a lot of him and have never been impressed. He has always been described as an under achiever.

How depressing. I have always wanted him to be a Wing. Such a pest. -
Well thank God that is over, back to hockey I actually care about! LETS GO RED WINGS! I could careless for Olympic hockey, but I am glad the team will be rested and ready to go for the remainder of the season.
-
Way to sneak that one in there.

Yeah. I remember some of my Leaf fan friends being outraged that Drapes and Malts were picked. Draper played well in that tournament in my opinion.
