Picks, Malts and Antropov in a trade does not make sense. THE LEAFS ARE LOOKING TO DUMP SALARY. If they drop Antropov who makes around a million and pick up Maltby who makes 1.4ish they will NOT be dumping salary, God what is go hard to understand about that?

I agree with you on everything but the fact that Malts should be dealt. He is still a solid player. I would rather have him killing penalties than Cleary. I will admit that if Malts wasnt a classic Wing from our Cup teams I would not feel the same. But he was. I realize I am a liitle in the past on this one. But keep in mind that the Leafs are looking to drop salary not pick it up. Maltby wont be traded to Toronto for Antropov. A pick or futures should suffice. I also doubt that Maltby will be traded anywhere. As you said he makes too much for what he does, teams will be quick to realize that.

Your two cents are invalid. Maltby should not be traded. He is one of the hardest workers we have. Now as for the Leafs taking the trade they wont. If we got Antropov it would have to be for a pick or for futures because they are attempting to dump salary to make room for Anson Carter. Maltby makes more than Antropov I believe therefore that is never going to happen. Also you would have to be an idiot to trade Kirk Maltby AND a draft pick to get Nik Antropov. Malts over Nik anyday, and I am one of the few HEAVILY in favour of acquiring Nik.

Don Cherry is a clown. I have watched him my entire life on HNIC and I despise the way he rags on the Europeans. He calls Ponikerovsky "Pochonsky." Hell, he is the same way he is in person as he is on tv. I met him and we talked a bit about the Wings and he went on to bash the fact that the Wings have too many europeans...blah, blach, blah. He has belittled Nik thorought his career in Toronto. I agree that if Nik left Toronto and didnt have Cherry on his back all would be well. He does not like Ponikerovsky or Antropov. Yet those two guys did well playing with Mats last season. He hated Berezin when he was there too.

Could it be because he sucks? Because he is unable to stay on a team? Or because he wants 1.5 to 2 million more than he is really worth? Anson Carter would be terrible. If we're signing someone it should be Nolan because he is cheaper and brings waaaay more to the table than Carter does. It is not going to kill us to give up a pick to get Nik. Id prefer to get him for futures but whatever. He will do much better for the Wings.

I know that he isnt physical at all. And I was wrong to say SKY ROCKET. But improve shoudl have been the word I used. When he is on a line with good players he plays his best hockey...most guys are like that. But Nik has great potential...he could be a star. I love this rumor. I live in Toronto and all the idiots here do is destroy him all season long. I have said this since the day Antropov was initially ripped by the media. Put him in the red and white and watch him become a star...along side Datsyuk of course. Have you seen his productivity sky rocket when he plays with Ponikarovsky? He will do well here. Antropov was on the second line for a bit with the fags here in Toronto and he did well playing with Sundin and Ponikarovsky. He just needs a good linemate or two. Dats and Williams. Bring him here, for futures though.

Manny Legace will never win a Stanley Cup with any team. Every team in the East pretty much has their goaltending figured out...and even if they dont Legace is not the answer. Legace is not capable of winning a series in the playoffs let alone the Stanley Cup. You should probably see a therapist about this anger of your's or you can keep it up and get kicked off the boards.

Tossed into a situation? A star would have excelled there. I see that as him being given a chance. Legace has not been signed by any team for a reason, he is not a starter, he is the best backup...BACKUP. How many times has Brodeur won in the playoffs? Turco is crap in the playoffs. Hasek, Brodeur and other vets give their teams a chance to win. Legace as we know is not capable of doing such.
