Holmgren is CRAZY! He should send us Giroux for Flip and a pick!

Hard to believe that it was 14 years ago today that Vladdy had the accident. What a crying shame. He has made a very solid recovery for the severity of his injuries. Get your Konstaninov jerseys out guys!

Ken Holland: Open to trade to replace Rafalski
superstarsingh replied to wingsownnhl43's topic in General
Anyone who thinks trading for Campbell is the proper thing to do has deep psychological issues and a severe lack of hockey sense. I say we trade Filppula and/or Hudler for Bogosian. I would LOVE Enstrom but that is not happening. Hell, if we just signed Wiz and perhaps a depth signing comparable to the Salei signing I would be happy. Bieksa will get a contract he does not deserve but that is what happens when you play on a team that goes to the SCF. -
Where is the best place to watch game 7 in Detroit?
superstarsingh replied to revnic's topic in General
Wherever you watched the previous three. Change nothing. -
Why is Guy Boucher not on this list? Vigneault...I suppose he 'coached' through the loss of his entire defenseive core. Barry Trotz deserves this. He HAS deserved one for quite some time.

It is the Canadian equivalent to Kalamazoo haha.

Andrei Markov is the most injury prone player in the NHL.

Players you've always wanted on the Wings
superstarsingh replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
Well he is always someone I hate when the Wings play against the Stars. He would not fit well with the team but I like what he brings to the table. -

Kirk Maltby to announce he is retiring
superstarsingh replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
This is a shame but all things considered, it is probably the best thing that could happen for the Wings and Maltby as well. He probably did not want to play elsehwere and now I believe he will join the front office in some capacity (scout). Dude was outstanding in his prime and has taken far too much abuse on these boards. Makes me depressed to see him retire on a day wherein the Wings and Avs will be locking horns. -
Wooo! Lets Go Wings! Start off on the right foot tonight !

Landon Ferraro definitely qualifies as a very fast Red Wings prospect. With that being said, I don't think he's nearly as quick as Helm.

I am very sad to see him go but as he said, he knew he had to if he wanted to be a GM. I wish him nothing but the best and I hope his time in Tampa will serve as training and experience for when he takes the reigns in Detroit somewhere down the line. For the first time ever, I might have a second favourite team...yikes.

There is hate for Hossa because supporting any Blackhawk player is unethical.

Habs fans in Montreal are absolutely nuts. This is normal behavior for them and it does not surprise me at all. Good for them Anyone know how many police cars got burned and/or flipped this time?

WCSF Game 2 GDT: Red Wings 3 at Sharks 4
superstarsingh replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
1) The call on Heatley at the end of the game was the only bogus call against SJ. 2) It isn't hard to outplay a team when you are on the PP for almost a quarter of the game. Also, any momentum that Detroit generated was taken away due to penalties. 3) The GWG was LUCK. If Lidstrom's stick did not explode we would be watching OT at this very moment but that's apart of the game. -
WCSF Game 2 GDT: Red Wings 3 at Sharks 4
superstarsingh replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Complete and utter bulls***. A couple of the calls against the Wings were penalties but most of them were terrible. The thing that makes this worse is that on SJ's second goal there were TWO instances of cross checking while the Wings cycled in the Sharks zone, they go uncalled and SJ scores. That is just one time they failed to call penalties on SJ. Now that I have said that, we cannot cry over this terribly spilled milk. We have to hope that the Wings put these two games behind them and focus on tying the series up at two. -
WCQF Game 7 GDT: Red Wings 6 at Coyotes 1
superstarsingh replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Playoff hockey is the best, nothing compares. The speed, the hitting and the players will to win. I hate to praise a Coyote on this day but Jovanovski defined what playoff hockey is about when he blocked that shot, rived in pain and got up and proceeded to play in the same shift. -
