Agreed--I think that we have other options, cheaper ones, that need to be explored. It's time to go with youth and find out what we've got with our prospects...and keep Osgood around for a solid alternative/backup...

Defensive defenseman? Kronner is not making 3 million a year because of his defensive abilities...he's expected to produce points too...

Many people said the same thing about Dom before this season.

Maltby was much more effective on a line with someone willing to drop the gloves. Back in the day, Maltby would start the s*** and DMac would come in and finish it. I do agree though he has picked up his game as of late, but his role as an agitator is limited without a heavyweight. Allso, with the addition of Cleary and Franzen who can bang and crash, do the energy thing, and put the puck in the net more often, I think his worth on this team has diminished.

Are you talking about him going out to play the puck...or this new thing that he's gotten into where he comes out of the net to do the flying death-charge on breakaways....because the latter is not really working anymore....the first couple times it was great...that one on, I think, nash that totally caught him off guard....but these last couple times the guy has been ready for it...I mean every goal scorer probably saw tape on those first couple times and now they're ready for it, if not expecting it....yeah,I hope he stops doing that....
