I think he will. Holland and Nill were quoted earlier in the year saying they planned on bringing him over next year.

Can we at least all agree that Calder brings more than Williams? On a sidenote, I think Calder is going to be big in the playoffs. He plays the right way to have playoff success.

They were only 300k apart, so Smyth could have just settled. Then again, what other organization would trade the face of their franchise over such a small amount. Edmonton comes out of this looking pretty bad, not just because of the trade, but they didn't even get full value. Horrible job all around by Lowe. Edit: Grammar

Thanks for posting; it's amazing to see what's going on in these GMs minds during the trade teadline process. -One thing stuck out to me that hasn't been mentioned. Burke offered a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for Norstrom, and was turned down. If I'm a Kings fan, I want to know why. - Also, I guess Smyth's availability wasn't as secretive as believed.

I feel bad for anybody who has to play in Chicago. You could literally hear the players skates tonight it was so quiet. The only time you heard the crowd at all was when Wings fans were chanting, "lets go Red Wings."

Is it just me or did the Hawks look entirely disinterested tonight? We have a bunch of games left against them too. Not exactly a great test for the playoffs; I'm pretty sure of AHL team could beat them.
