Okay, I know I'm going waaaay too far with this, but I once again called the Fan590 cooperate office (yea, I'm a desperate fan) about the interview. I talked to a producer who said absolutely 100% the interview WAS live with Jimmy D on Friday. He also said the only reason the recording isn't posted on the website is because, due to the fact it was late night, it must have "slipped through". He "assured" the interview will for sure be posted on the Fan590 site today. So, keep on the look out guys.

I don't know.... perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but it really sounds like he was complaining of his role on the Wings and lack of opportunity to prove otherwise. That bit about "dragging the grand piano" really got me peeved. But meh, majority rules.

I think you're implying too much. Although people have said he they've been "disappointed" with his decisions this off season, I don't think anyone went to the extreme of calling him an imbecile. You also have to gather the situation. We had very very little cap space to begin with, so you'd think (if he was willing to have even LESS space at the deadline) Holland would sign a solid offensive forward that most could agree with. There were still a few on the market. Instead, we practically kill our deadline player hunt and overpay to sign a risky, streaky, attitude-filled player for our one big summer signing. I'm sorry to disagree, but I tend to think that signing was VERY important and might come back to bite us in the ass.

So I called Fan590 and they confirmed that Jimmy D DID in fact say they will have Bertuzzi signed within the week. They also said they'd post the transcript from last night's interview online sometime today.... Take it for what you will.....

And even Malik says he doesn't believe it for a second. I'm sure this is all referring to when Devellano was talking about Bertuzzi as a potential signing ONLY WHEN we were targeting free agents at the time. Holland is in Oregon now, vacationing.....golfing. He said that we're done with any signings until camp. Guys.....as much as I'd love it, its not gonna happen.

Not gonna happen. Not only did we already sign the 3rd line winger (Williams) but we also only have 500,000 in cap space remaining. So unless he signs for under 1 mil, he aint coming. Also, I think the program you're referring to was aired over a week ago. At that time we were still targeting free agents, however even Holland has admitted he's done until September at the earliest.

This is really beginning to be a problem. Once the HUGE name players start migrating over there, people will really start taking notice, and the league will probably step up. The only way to possibly counter the KHL is to either take away the cap or raise it drastically.

Wow, that is so utterly disappointing to hear. This guy seemed to be a classy rising star, and was hoping for him to take over Crosby's superstar status. This has completely changed my view of him. I absolutely HATE it when fame and money get to these players' heads, making them believe because of their status, they can do whatever the f*** they want. "High and mighty, pompous, better than everyone else" players can go f*** themselves.
