I totally agree with the Mark Bell invite. The guy is in the same situation as Eaves (used to be a 20+ goal scorer) but can also throw his weight around and beat the living s*** out of people.

Don't expect any moves until at least September: So, for the most part, we really are looking at our set lineup.

Why sign Toews when we can sign Jason Williams to a 5 year extension?

I don't see us signing anyone else honestly. Trust me, I'd LOVE one actual grinder (Grier) but I don't see it happening.

Sammy 28 goals in Vancouver : Under (come on, seriously? 28? 20 woulda been more realistic) Huds 56 points in the KHL : Over (Can totally see that) Datsyuk 100 pts : Over (this will be close, but I say over) Wings 47 wins : Under (Sorry....gotta think those missing goals will hurt. I'm thinking 40) Ozzie 50 starts : Over Wings under 2.5 goals against per game : Over (Hard to imagine our defense having a miraculous turn around from last year) Mule 40 goals : Over (This will also be really close, but I'm gonna be optimistic and say over) Ovie 60 goals : Over (Its Ovie) Wings 10 fighting majors : Under (Are you serious?) Crosby 120 pts : Under (Godwilling) Tavares 20 goals: Over (Hope the best for this kid)

Overall, theres just very little to be excited about for this upcoming season. Many major subtractions, no solid additions (maybe Eaves) and no cool changes to look forward to. We're smaller, weaker than ever before and and this just leads to little anticipation among fans. If you thought the Joe was empty before, I guarantee you're in for a BIG surprise next season. They'll be lucky to fill half the seats. I say 5th place finish followed by second round exit.

I love my team, I love what Holland has done with it over the years, but I just can't back him up on this one. I simply can't. He really bit the big one with this signing.

He had 50 points ONCE in his whole career. Good players don't go through THREE teams in 2 seasons. No one wants this guy. Did you guys watch the Wings before 2008? Do you remember how he played with the team? I sure as hell do. I mean, it was because of his lackluster play and s*** attitude that got his ass benched by Babs (which Willaims bitched about to the press later which pissed me off even more). This is also the guy who looked by far the worse player during the Edmonton series in 06. Have you all forgotten this? It was a godsend that we got rid of this nuisance when we did, and now we're just bringing him back? Ugh.

It would start with not signing Jason Williams.

It was for sure Weber. I think it was that night we lost like 8 to nothing. I had a baaaaaaad feeling once I saw Lilja go down. Sadly, this might turn out to be another Primeau situation and his career could be done. Poor guy...

I won't want to discredit the OP, but it's hard to believe that Kenny of all people (who is tight lipped about everything until its finalized) would tell a random fan who they just signed before it was announced. Just......I dunno.
