Seems like a pretty solid forward. I wouldn't mind seeing him for 1 mil or so. I'm surprised the Canucks never called him up.

Wasn't he also the one who was mouthing off at a recently married Blues player during the playoffs? I forget who it was, but he was saying some pretty obscene things. Something among the lines of, "How's the wife? Still talking about me? Tell her I say hi. Good luck with your kids". Seemed like he crossed the line to me. Then again, I'm not 100% certain it was Burrows.

Hmm.....hard to say on that one. I gotta admit, theres a good chance that without Lids being there, we wouldnt have won any of our cups! But, I do still think he'd be remembered as a champion with or without Lidstrom and the cups. He was just simply a "model" player, and exactly what the Wings needed after the s***storm that was the 70's. I mean, Marcel Dionne is still considered a champion, and I don't think he ever won a cup.

I love Lidstrom, but I respectfully and completely disagree. Stevie Y was (and some argue still is) the face of this franchise from the mid 80's until his retirement. You think Wings, you think Stevie Y (or maybe Howe). I don't think that will ever change.

I took another look at the source article. NOTHING states that he's staying with the team, in fact the title is "Move From Detroit to Moscow". I guarantee that amount (awesome amount btw) is just the amount the Wings will pay if and when Huds ever comes back to the NHL.

I'm in the minority here, but I'd be totally cool with Bertuzzi. Everyone here is acting like he was terrible. Well, if I remember correctly, he didn't even join us until right before the playoffs and when he did, was coming off an injury and didn't look half bad. Get'er done Kenny!

Yeah, Sportsnet just f***ed up the news story. I suspect thats just the amount agreed upon once he returns from Russia.....which is pretty damn good. -
