So I was able to get in touch with the Honda Center security manager and he admitted himself that the night was completely out of control. He said there hadn't been a reported assault in the parking lot in three years and on that night, there were 5 reported assaults. They're looking over lots of video right now and he said security will be doubled for tonight.

Nope. Happened exactly how I described it. Yes, there were at least five of them and YES, they were gigantic. Is trying to be a good samaritan that unheard of these days? These guys were just ripping apart all Wings fans that walked by, and when I say that I dont mean heckling, I mean just dishing out unbelievable profanity and standing in front of some of them as they tried to walk by. I didn't say anything until what looked like a father and son walked by and the guys just started shouting in the faces of the kid. Sorry, had to say SOMETHING. And yes, all I did was reinstate the fact that the Wings won it last year. Once again, I had no idea it would trigger this. And for the multiple people that sent me PM's that witnessed what happened, if you wouldn't mind confirming my story on here so I don't keep getting people saying I'm making all this up (Yea, I love making up stories of me getting my ass kicked), that would be cool. If not, its also cool, I understand if you want to keep your identity private.

Reply to Wombat: Okay? Maybe I had a poor choice of wording but when I said "proceeded" I meant attempted. I never meant to insinuate that they were able to do so. Nevertheless, these guys did begin charging the windows at full force. I'm amazed it didn't break. I'm really getting sick of the 3rd degree here.

I had a beer? Does that make me some out of control goon? No, I maintain composure unlike others. Like I said before, I didn't use any profanity, I was simply responding to their outlandish comments. I had no idea they would respond the way they did. Obviously, if I knew they were gonna attack me, I would not have done it. I'm not a guy who's looking for a fight.

Well, if you bothered to really read my post, you would have seen that I never said they managed to break my windows. They charged the car, began attacking my friend through his open window and I jump out before more could be done. Seconds after, I'm just in a daze. I mean, I pretty much just went into la-la-la land and it took me a while to come out of it. I had to walk over to a parking attendant to contact security, when cops came it was about 15-20 after the event occurred.

Actually dude, that IS what I said. Well more like, "Hey, uh, remind me, who won the cup last year? Seriously I forgot, who won it again last year?" Thats exactly what I said. Believe it or not, I could care less. Anyway, I doubt I can bring any legal action against the Ponda because after all was said and done, there were no witnesses who stepped up and told the police what they saw. It took forever for the cops to come and when they did, most of the people who saw had left and the rest just said they didn't see anything. You have to keep in mind, most people who witnessed this were either standing and gawking or cheering.

Well, I've been to tons of games over the years, but I'd be lying if I said I would expect something like this to happen. I mean, we weren't even out of our car when these dudes decided to go after us. And I have yet to be in any kind of bantering situation where it immediately led to an assault like this. Was I surprised these guys decided to try to break the windows of my car and attack my friend and I after I made a response to their s*** talking? Yes....yes I was.

Yea but theres a fine line between talking s*** and taking swings at someone through an open window of a car.

I did, but since they got away and NO ONE wanted to step up and say anything (since the witnesses were the Ducks fans cheering them on), they said there was "little they could do".

I can tolerate friendly bashing. But these guys were verbally assaulting every person in a Wings jersey that walked by, including kids and women. I'm sorry, but I couldn't stand to see that.

I'll feel better if Carolina ties the series too. Not that I like Carolina or anything, just makes me feel better seeing more series that are tied.

If it helps, the series with the Sharks in 07 was tied going back to San Jose and look who came to be the winner out of that.
